I'm single and with 3 grown up children, so plenty of experience in keeping a home clean, tidy and well run! I also am a competent gardener and more than happy to do light gardening.
I am good with animals :I grew up with dogs, cats, guinea pigs and chickens. My own kids have had various pets too. I have done voluntary work with Hearing Dogs for the Deaf while in the UK which involved their puppies in training coming to stay for short periods of time.
At the moment I am taking time out of work to spend time back in the Southern Hemisphere to be nearer to the children again. I am honest person that would look after your home with respect and care well for your pets with genuine affection.
While in the UK I house sat 3 times for the same couple in Scotland and I am adding their review of the first sit here as it is from HousesittersUK which is the sister site of Kiwihousesitters: the following 2 sits were privately arranged between us so we didn't post reviews but Nick will provide a reference me, if you want one.

Rating: 5.0 THEIR REVIEW OF YOU: This was our first experience using a house/dog sitter, and it couldn't have gone better! Elizabeth was the perfect housesitter - thoughtful, friendly, easy-going and absolutely brilliant at looking after our 15 month old Labrador. She sent regular photos of him while we were away. She asked us if there were any specific training exercises we were working at - and she had made progress with him by the time we got home again! Our house was clean and tidy too, which was soooo nice after a long journey home! All in all we think Elizabeth is great and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone, or to have her come to stay again!

It was an absolute pleasure to meet Elizabeth and have her do my housesit. It was immediately obvious that she is a very experienced, capable and knowledgeable person and I was extremely comfortable leaving her in charge of our home and precious animals. Elizabeth was instantly identified by Ferne, our black lab,as a person to be adored and included in her pack!

I unfortunately didn’t get to meet Elizabeth. She looked after my small dog and house for 5 days. From the first communication I knew she would be great. My Neighbour who meet Elizabeth said that she was very good with Cassie and quote “ I could tell Cassie liked her alot”. My house was left immaculate. I hope to be able meet Elizabeth again in the future. Highly recommend Elizabeth.

Elizabeth came to our rescue, when our previous sitters became unavailable.
Excellent communication and punctual. Both Leo and Phoebe were totally relaxed with her straight away. Felt very happy to leave them in Elizabeth's capable hands. Kept us up-to-date with their going ons, sending us pics, and updates. When we arrived back, both dogs were very chilled and happy, and the house was spotless, Would definitely recommend Elizabeth, and hope she would be able to housesit for us again.
Elizabeth was an absolute angel because my foster dog had been unwell the week before needing more ongoing medication and review. So both dogs needed more care instead of just one. But she took it all in her stride .
Elizabeth kept me updated with daily posts and pictures.
I don’t think I could have had a better sitter.
I came home to extremely settled and happy dogs and a tidy house.

great communication and Elizabeth came the day before the house sit to meet all the animals and go through everything.
good communication on the sit, unfortunately, the dogs had a fight while we were away but she dealt with this well and everyone was fine.

Elizabeth is fantastic! I loved her, the cats and chooks loved her. I felt totally relaxed leaving everything in her capable hands. I loved the daily updates, often with pics of ‘gifts’ the cats brought in. She had a great sense of humour and coped perfectly with rats and bunnies, thankfully not still breathing!
I’ve already rebooked her and recommended her to a friend locally.
The house was clean when I got home and the bed remade. Above and beyond what I had expected.

Elizabeth made my trip worry-free. Great communication and the house was pristine upon my return. And my cat, Kokonee, seemed very happy. Very highly recommended.
I felt very happy leaving Elizabeth looking after my two cats and the house. I came home to very happy cats and a newly made up bed. Fantastic when you've been away. I would highly recommend Elizabeth for any house sitting jobs.
She is simply the best pet sitter we could ever ask for. Leila our dog absolutely love her. The house is absolute clean and tidy, she left us a wonderful gift. She sent me pictures of Leila everyday so we miss her a bit less. I would highly recommend everyone to contact her if you need a house/pet sitter as she is a 10/10. Elizabeth was such a wonderful blessing to us, looking after our dog Mini for 8 days while we holidayed. She bonded with Mini from the moment she arrived, and took her for not one but two walks each day, which Mini loves. Elizabeth left the house spotless with all surfaces cleaned, floors vacuumed etc. We'd welcome her back any day.
Elizabeth was an outstanding Housebsitter!! Highly recommend. Her communication was amazing regular updates and photos. Went over and above and water the plants, washed all the bedding I left and used. Even left me a thank you note and wee gift. Would totally have Elizabeth back any time
We were so lucky to have Elizabeth in our home. Our 10 month old puppy developed kettle cough and was right on it, contacting us immediately, taking her to the vet and monitoring her care committing to pup 100% until the cough was cleared. Billie is very timid and shy and this was our first time leaving her. Elizabeths calm and caring nature was assuring and we were quickly reassured everything was under control. I can recommend Elizabeth A+++++++++++. Thanks so much Elizabeth !
