Happy pets!
A house sitter provides loving, full-time, home-based pet-care while you're away.
62, retired
I'm retired, easy-going and reliable. Spending the summer in New Zealand. I love animals, and was even featured on the SPCA TV show, ‘Animal House’, after I’d saved and raised some baby feral goats.
I built and managed a retreat centre for 18 years in New Zealand, so I know how to look after buildings. On that 150-acre property, I designed the landscaping and planted over 10,000 trees. I also have a cabin in the mountains of California, so I’m familiar with property maintenance.
After graduating from university in the US, I lived in Thailand and New Zealand as a Buddhist monk. I’m no longer a monk, but I'm still well-versed in meditation and mindfulness. My monastic training instilled a love of being tidy and caring. I am also experienced in traditional Buddhist blessings, so if you wish, I can bless both your house and your beloved pets!
Depending on the timing, I might be joined by my partner. Jeanne is the CEO of her own graphic design company and works from home. We are both non-smokers, and she also has lots of experience looking after dogs and cats. I can send you references and the link to the SPCA video if you’d like to check it out. Happy to video chat or meet prior to any sit.
