Stella & Matteo

Hello there! We are Matteo and Stella, outdoor and sports enthusiasts and animal friends. We are a fulltime remote working couple (Finance and HR) and we love to travel - preferably with our van. We love doing sports and hiking in the mountains or at the sea. We prefer nature over city life and enjoy tranquility.
We would like to spend more time with cats and what could be a better way than helping you out at the same time. Win-win! We would love to take care of your home, plants and cats so you can enjoy time away worry-free.

While Stella had a cat herself years ago(a beautiful grey little tiger), together we have years of experiences with cat sitting (seniors, kittens and medical conditions included) on Trusted Housesitters and beyond with great success.

3) Joern: Stella and Mateo are the perfect sitters. They accommodated our planing and arrived a day before we left for our vacation. Communication was easy and they are very intuitive with cats. They let Iggy come to them and he was on their laps in no time. We got daily updates and felt very comfortable trusting them with Iggy and our home. When we got back the house was very clean and tidy, Stella & Mateo had even a dinner prepared for us, and Iggy seemed very happy and content. We would have them back for sitting any time.

4) Kathy: Stella and Matteo were the most perfect house sitters. Their communication both before and during the sit was excellent. Trevor loved them from the onset (it usually takes him a couple of days) and they immediately became his willing slaves! They also did a great job looking after the house and garden. Matteo keeping the lawn in order whilst Stella looked after the plants and seedlings. We cannot recommend Stella and Matteo highly enough and will be happy for them to house sit for us again any time in the future.

5) Douglas: Stella and Matteo are a lovely couple. You get a feeling about people when you first meet them and we are delighted to say we knew they would be perfect sitters for our cat Chanceux and our old farmhouse.
They communicated with us regularly while we were away which put us at ease and enabled us to relax and enjoy our holiday. They even sent photos and videos of Chanceux who was clearly enjoying their company! Stella was even so kind as to brush away the mounds of leaves that gathered on our garden terrace (thank you Stella!)
The house was spotlessly clean when we came home which was very much appreciated after a long journey when we just wanted to kick off our shoes and chill.
We highly recommend Stella and Matteo for your housesit and we also hope they will come and sit for Chanceux again someday !

6) Lise: It was our first time being away from our two kittens for that long. We were quite stressed about it but from the moment we met Stella and Matteo, we knew they would be in the best hands.
Both of them looked after the cats and our house so well, while sending us many updates and pictures. Alba and Nebbiolo are definitely missing them already, and we would welcome them back anytime to look after them!

7) Ruud: Stella and Matteo filled our place with joy and enthusiasm. They were extremely well-organised and reliable, arriving punctually on the date and at the time agreed, taking in all the instructions, taking great care of everything - especially the cat! - during their stay and leaving the place spotlessly clean and tidy when they left. Our cat needs lots of loving and fun. These sitters were generous with their time and affection, even though they had their own work and sport to do. My wildflower garden flourished under Stella's care. The cat Ginger is still asking where Stella and Matteo have gone and can he have them back?
