/We are a retired couple from the UK, I was a Police officer and my husband was an engineer. We started house sitting 8yrs ago with trusted housesitters and have completed 38 sits with them all have received 5* reviews. We pride ourselves on caring for your pets as if they were our own, if we are caring for dogs we like to take them out with us whenever possible and would never leave any animal on their own for any length of time, we prefer to go out during the day and very rarely go out at night, we prefer to be at home with any animals and watch TV. We also pride ourselves on leaving homes clean and tidy, you would not be disappointed if you were to select us to care for your property and furry family.
We started housesitting at the same time we retired, we love to travel and since retiring have spent a lot of our time travelling in our motorhome, we've sat in France, Spain, Portugal, Cyprus, Crete and in the U.K, we've found that the sitting adds another dimension to our travels, seeing places we may not have seen if we hadn't gone to do a sit, we've met
some lovely people and some wonderful loving animals. We don't have a pet if our own and love getting cuddles and love from the animals we look after.
We are very clean, organised people who don't smoke.
All we ask in return for looking after your property and pets is a clean home with somewhere comfortable to sleep.
We ask that arrangements are made with your local vet informing them
that you are leaving your pets with a sitter and should it be necessary for us to take your pet to the vet that payment is already arranged as we are not in a position to pay any vets bills upfront, in 8yrs we have never had to make a visit to the vets.
We already have our flights booked in to Auckland on the 7th December 2024 and are staying in the North Island for 7 weeks, we have a housesit booked through trusted for over Christmas, we then fly to Christchurch for a further 8 weeks. We don't intend to have a base so will be travelling around.
We have references that we can supply on request, (I cant find where to put them on here) we are willing to do a wattsapp call so you can meet us before hand and we are prepared to arrive at your property the day before you leave so you can see us with your furry family before you leave.
