San-Marie & Henk

Hi Homeowners, we are Henk and San-Marie, a quiet and professional couple. Henk works full-time from home as an IT professional and San-Marie is retired. We are busy building our forever home. During this time we are wanting to travel our beautiful country in a way that can be of meaning to others. We know the importance of having somebody looking after your home and animals responsibly.

We have had cats and dogs of our own over the years. We have been doing housesits for friends and family and another housesitting company during 2024 and decided to join Kiwi House Sitters to do more housesits. We have a grand dog, Whiskey a Labradoodle, that needs somebody to look after him when his family is away and have learned through his circumstances the value of housesitting an animal in its own surroundings.

We understand that the needs of dogs and cats are different but the common factor is love, attention and feeding. We are happy to take the animals for a walk when and as it is accustomed to as much as we are able too. In the last year we have had the privilege to look after small and large dogs, cats, pigs, cattle, sheep, ducks, chickens, fish and even guinea fowl. We have some experience with farm animals, we are farmers at heart caught in the city. Every housesit is a unique place and we realised even more so than before how important house sitters and the difference they make to peoples lives.

Henk enjoy Fly fishing as his main get away from work which give San-Marie the opportunity to photograph the beautiful surroundings. We also enjoy gardening, walking and craft. Therefore, we hope to combine all of this in the form of housesitting for people who need to take a break and have a time away from their own home with peace of mind, knowing somebody responsible is looking out for their home and animals.
