We are an easy going Canadian couple in our 30's with lots of pet-sitting experience!🇨🇦🐶🐱
We are currently traveling around and working in New Zealand for 1-2 years on working holiday visas! We are mature, reliable, and friendly! Kathleen loves dancing and trying new things. Dave loves crossword puzzles and wood working projects. We both love traveling, exploring, taking spontaneous adventures to new places, being in nature, and meeting new people and of course animals! We are both looking forward to expanding our horizons by meeting new people from various cultures and spending time with different kinds of animals.
We have both grown up with cats and dogs in our households. Over the past few years, we have been busy gaining experience in pet sitting, dog walking, and doing drop in pet visits! We are comfortable with different sizes and breeds. We will follow any instructions you leave with the utmost care and attention, and make sure that your pet is kept safe while under our watch.
We mainly have been looking after cats and dogs, but would love to also gain experience in caring for other types of animals as well. We thought it would be a wonderful idea to combine traveling and pet care into one by exploring beautiful New Zealand while also spending time with animals! We adore animals and love spending time with them!
If your animal has any special needs, feel free to go over all the details with us and we will accommodate them to the best of our abilities. Just let us know what your pet likes to do, what environments make them comfortable, how much play time they need, etc. and we will do whatever is needed to keep them happy while you're away!
This was our first time using Kiwi House Sitters and we were naturally a little apprehensive to leave our home and beloved pup Bean, but Kathleen and Dave truly exceeded our expectations. Not only was Bean happy as can be upon our return but our house was spotless and garden happy. We had the pleasure of having Kathleen and Dave look after our dog and two cats, and we couldn't be more pleased with their care. From the start, they were incredibly communicative, asking thoughtful questions about our pets’ routines and preferences.
Our dog immediately warmed to them, and they handled everything with such kindness and patience. They also took great care of our two cats, ensuring they were fed, and given plenty of attention.

Kathleen and Dave are flexible and adaptive to our two shy cats, Tobby and Cleo’s routine. They did all they can to make sure the cats feel safe in their presence. Both kitties starts feeling comfortable before we went away. Respectful and considerate, they always checked in with us and communicated anything they were unsure of. Kathleen and Dave sat for us for 2 weeks (we extended our stay) and were amazing. One of our dogs had a small issue with her claw while we were away and these guys consulted with us, with photos, before taking her to our vet, which we really appreciated. Kathleen and Dave are lovely people who did a super amazing job of looking after our fur babies and house while we were away. We came home to happy healthy animals and a lovely clean house. They were really good at sendi g us pictures of the animals during our time away. We were a bit nervous as first time users of kiwi house sitters but were so grateful to Kathleen and Dave for making us feel assured our animals were in good hands. Amazing

Thank you for housesitting it was very much appreciated. I love my home and garden so much.i do my househouse etc so you have a clean home to come into. I leave a manual on how things work. Note for future please read manual to understand our property and please if you can leave our home with all chores done. So no needs to come home to do chores. Thank you. I will update my manual so there's no misunderstanding on my behalf in future
