I’m originally from Scotland, but have lived in Australia for the past two years. Im spending some solo time now in New Zealand and looking for some animals to look after!

I grew up with Collie’s and Labs at home and so have always loved having animals around. My partner and I can’t have a pet of our own just yet while our visa isn’t permanent so we’re settling for fostering and housesitting! I had always looked after friends and family’s dogs growing up, and regularly used BorrowMyDoggy website in the UK.

In the winter of 2023, my partner and I used Trusted Housesitters as a way to hang out with dogs and cat’s and also test out different suburbs to live in. We’ve completed 7 sits so far with a total of 9 dogs and 1 cat. We had a great experience meeting new animals and learning their routines and training. We sat for Golden Retrievers; Whippets; Greyhounds; Bulldogs; Mixes; Doodles and an Aussie Shepherd.

I also volunteer in Melbourne at The Lost Dogs home weekly, walking and enriching the dogs waiting for adoption. It’s so rewarding and enjoyable for myself and the dogs. At the home, I’m working with dogs of all shapes and sizes and I am comfortable with dog reactive/nervous/high energy/shy/working dogs.



In October 2021 I gifted myself a birthday trip to Romania to spend 10 days volunteering with Lucky’s Legacy Rescue. It was an outdoor shelter of around 70 dogs, and around 30 cats in a cattery. It was an invaluable experience and confirmed to me animal welfare is one of my life’s purposes.

I also have fostered a American Staffie for 3 months at the start of this year. She had separation anxiety and dog reactivity which I worked on with the help of a trainer and the rescue. She found her forever home in April 2024, which I was so pleased about!

I own a home with my partner back in the UK which we rent out to tenants, so I understand the value in taking care of a home - especially when it’s not your own.

I’d love to care for your pets just as you would while you’re away so that you can enjoy your holiday knowing they are well looked after.

I know my pets I’ve had are like my babies and I would only want the best care for them if I had to leave them. I’d love to be that person for you and your pets.

I’m flexible with dates, and happy to have a call and/or a meet up to see if we are the right fit for each other. I'm currently in Wellington but willing to travelling to anywhere in NZ for longer sits.
