Nicole & Jonas

Hello everyone, we are students from Germany spending 6 months in New Zealand. We came across this housesitting portal and loved the concept. We both enjoy taking care of animals so this seemed perfect for us.
We study education in Flensburg, planning to become teachers. Both of us have already worked as teachers alongside our studies. We just finished our bachelor‘s degree and are taking a year off to travel, hence our stay in New Zealand.

We both love animals and would be happy to take care of yours in exchange of a stay at your lovely homes. We both grew up with pets in our homes and surroundings. Me, Nicole, for instance, always had the desire to have a pet at home and kept convincing my parents to get me one. Starting from a young age, I took care of my own rabbit, my hamsters and a few years later I convinced my parents to adopt a dog, who has been by our side ever since.
Jonas took care of rabbits growing up as well and spent a lot of time with the cats and dogs of his immediate family. Growing up more rural let him be exposed to different farm animals and horses. In fact, he has worked at a horse stable, taking care of the horses, which he very much enjoyed. Furthermore, he enjoys gardening, so your garden would be in good hands.
We understand that opening your home to strangers and letting them take care of your loved ones can be scary, but we ensure you that we are trustworthy and responsible people who indent to do our very best taking care of your pets and homes, including the plants and even the garden if required. You can be sure that you will get your home back as clean as when you left it.

It is our first time using this portal as we have just arrived in New Zealand, hence there aren’t any reviews complementing our description of us yet, but we do hope you give us a chance and let us pleasantly surprise you.
