ABOUT ME: Originally from the UK I've been lucky enough to live in NZ since 2007. I became a professional house/pet sitter in 2012 and really enjoy living this lifestyle. I'm now based in Nelson with a thriving wellness practice. I'm healthy, fit and active.
MY PET PHILOSOPHY: When the family leaves home a loved pet can sometimes become confused and even a little sad. I do my very best to accommodate this when looking after your fur companions. I know they would rather have their family and I will take care of them really well until your return. Keeping them safe and as close to the routine they are used to is my main priority so they are relaxed and happy on your return.
PAST EXPERIENCE: While working towards residency I house sat for a friend on her kiwi fruit orchard for a year looking after her home, large veggie garden, and her chooks, dogs, and cats. At times I attended to the horses, sheep and cows when the farm manager was away. I don't take care of dogs and farm animals now but love to look after cats who are my favourite!.
I have had cats live with me since my late teens.. I'm a long time vegan so animals are a priority, but definitely not made to eat a vegan diet! I strive to take care of your pets exactly as you would, as I am asked to.
MORE ABOUT ME: I owned my own home/s from the age of 17 until I came to NZ so I understand how important it is to care for and maintain a property. I'm neat and tidy and generally thanked for leaving homes spick and span. I replace and repair things where necessary and am honest about any accidents. I appreciate being able to have guests visit as I would never invite anyone to your home I wouldn't have invited to mine.
MY NEEDS: Simple and few: I like to keep warm and be in a clean home. Fridge, freezer and cupboard spaces are welcome as well as an internet connection. I'm a life-long greenie so work hard to be eco-friendly and not to overuse resources.
Any questions you may have I'm happy to answer. There are many homeowners that are eager to speak on my behalf in addition to those who have given me reviews on this site.

Stephanie is indeed a cat whisperer. Our cat Rani warmed to her straight away. Rani was incredibly settled when we arrived home 4 weeks later. (this had not been the case in the past.) Our house was left immaculately clean and tidy.
We communicated easily while we were away. We are hoping to use Stephanie again and again.
Stephanie did a wonderful job of looking after my flat and 4 cats.
She was very easy to communicate with and the cats were very happy and she left the flat beautifully clean and tidy.

Stephanie has done a wonderful job looking after my home for 7 weeks, but more importantly for me, caring for my 17 yer old cat. It was wonderful to arrive back to an immaculate, clean, warm home, but also a very contented, relaxed cat. Communication over the 7 weeks was fantastic with messages and photos keeping me updated. I would highly recommend Stephanie and look forward to her house sitting for me again.
Stephanie was a superb house sitter. She communicated very well on our first meetings and her arriving & leaving.. Our kitchen was sparking clean as was the rest of the house. Our puss was very well cared for, and Stephanie sent pic s and vido s which we really appreciated. Thank you Stephanie we highly recommend your services and hopefully we can call on you again.
We came home to a lovely clean home and a happy cat.

Was great to have Stephanie looking after Ziggy while I was away for four months.
Garden and house were very tidy when I returned and Ziggy looking the picture of health.
Great communication while I was away with photos of Ziggy so I was kept up to date with his antics.
Stephanie was really self sufficient and I knew that Ziggy and my house would be well looked after.
Stephanie has been absolutely fabulous sitting my house and fur baby (cat). Very caring, amazingly clean and tidy and was in contact with me while here. Iām very comfortable with having Stephanie stay here as she was the first sitter I have used so she has set the standards very high. Happy to help out and work with me so it set my mind at ease.

My 'usual' house sitter was unavailable, so I contacted Stephanie, She replied promptly and made a visit soon after for us to meet and for her to view the house and meet the cat! Everyone got on very well, so the time was booked.

Stephanie was always friendly and communicative. She left the house looking spick and span and had given it a good clean. She kept in touch while I was away and let me know how my plants were doing, sending photos of the garden and special plants. I was VERY grateful to have someone so reliable and helpful in my house.
Stephanie was out first house sitter through this site. She made the process really easy and seamless. We felt very comfortable leaving our beloved cat and house in her care. Her communication was excellent throughout. Highly recommended.

Stephanie is a star. I had great communication and felt totally relaxed having her in my home and looking after my cat. She had everything covered and of course the house was left immaculate . It was very reassuring for me to have Stephanie there and would ask her again in a heart beat.
We had Steph look after our house and 2 demanding Burmese for 2 weeks in January. She took great care of the house and Rangi and Toto. Clear quick communication leading up to the stay and kept us up to date while we were away. Came back to a tidy house and 2 relaxed animals.

Thanks for giving us the most immaculate home to return to this evening! One very happy cat winding round our legs and climbing on my knees asap means we would absolutely welcome you again. The garden will call in the morning in daylight but we have no doubt about our pleasure in being home there too. PS l nibbled on soft aparagus tips as Don cut the big ones down from just under the soil and we still have the rest of the giant sprouting broccoli to take out, but the bees are oh so happy with ... Steph is absolutely amazing. We were in Europe for 7 weeks and Steph looked after our home and our 20 yr old cat Jasper during that time. Jasper suffered a puncture wound from a cat fight and Steph handled it with confidence and care even arranging a vet visit. We couldn't have asked for more. So caring and efficient. Stephanie looked after our house and property during 3 months while we were overseas. She had an elderly cat to care for, a number of pot plants to water, autumn leaves to sweep up and a large house to keep tidy and clean.
