Mark & Kristine

As we are both retired and recently pet free (sadly), we are no longer housebound, but would still love to share time with furry friends. We enjoy beaches, outdoor activities including camping, fishing, day walks, e-biking, motorcycling (Ulysses members) and generally exploring NZ, a great book, an entertaining movie and a good laugh.

We spend time between our properties on the Whangaparaoa peninsula and our 3 acres at Whangapoua in the Coromandel.

Over the years we've had:

1 - Kara, a long haired German Shepherd Lassie Collie x. She was incredibly intelligent and beautiful. Charlie was her companion cat.
2 - then came Mishka, a Newfoundland German Shepherd x. She looked like a dark, long haired Shepherd.
3 - over the last 30 years we've had 4 beautiful moggies Misty, Benji, Max & Lexi. As Lexi was very timid and so special to us, for the last 6 years we would only leave her for 1 night at a time on her own (having lost her permanent cat sitter), hence our movements have been restricted. Lexi has recently gone to join her brothers and sisters and they are waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge. Hence the reason we are in a position where we can now pet sit. Our preference is for indoor/outdoor, non caged animals. Happy for them to sleep on our bed, and for dogs that enjoy a couple of really decent walks daily.
