I live in my own home in Lower Hutt with a couple of boarders. My 17 yr old cavoodle recently passed away.
Having an older dog has made me aware that with older and anxious animals it is much better for them to stay in their own home when their loved ones are away.
As I sometimes like to spend a couple of nights away for a change of scene, (Sometimes with and sometimes without my partner). I thought house sitting would be a good way to help someone out and allow me to achieve that.
I am available anywhere within the Wellington region and short notice will be no problem. As I am local, we can meet anytime beforehand to ensure we are compatible.
Also prepared to travel 3-4 hours from Wellington within the North Island for a weekend.
I have owned cats, dogs, mice, rabbits, horses, chickens, sheep, pigs, cattle and am happy to care for all of the above as well as your garden.
I’m looking for a house sit in Petone over Christmas. Approx 22 Dec to 6th Jan.
This is the second time that Jenine and Steven have looked after our home and birds, and again everything was great. It is so reassuring to have someone who can take care of our menagerie and know that they will be well cared for while we are away.
They are lovely sitters, so helpful and communicative too.
We came home to very happy furbabies and an impeccably clean house. The bottle of milk in the fridge was a lovely thoughtful touch too. Thanks so much Jenine and Steven, we would welcome you back anytime 😊
I highly recommend Jenine as a housesitter. She and her partner sent lovely photos of the pets, took the dog on great walks, and left the house tidy. I would love them to sit again.
Jenene and her partner Stephen looked after our home and our menagerie of birds and sheep so well while we were away for a month! I really felt like they looked after our birds so well, and were interested in how we keep pigeons, which really provided us with peace of mind that our birds were in great hands.

It was a pleasure interacting with Jenine who visited a couple of times before the sit. She quickly connected with Betty (our feline friend), is responsible yet easy going and communicated well throughout the stay.
She did an impressive job caring for our lifestyle property, including regularly clearing the multitude of autumn leaves off the lawn. We returned to a lovely clean house and very content cat; Jenine’s welcome back at our place anytime!
Jenine was a very natural, friendly and caring person.
She looked after our dog really well, informing us of how the days have been going which was always nice to hear.
Our dog felt comfortable with Jenine from the moment she met her, showing her comfort with animal engagement.
Our property was left really well too, tidy and cared for as if it were her own.
