Kayla & Tim

Hello! I'm Kayla, I'm 37 and live in the northern suburbs of Wollongong, NSW with my husband Tim (38) and our 13 year old whippet Ruben.

I am an animal lover from a big family of animal lovers! Growing up, I had almost every pet you can think of (many of them rescues) from greyhounds to bearded dragons to donkeys. In my early 20s, I was a volunteer zoo keeper and therefore I am comfortable and experienced with a wide variety of animals, exotic, native, farm or domestic - any type or temperament.

As I already mentioned, I have a 13 year old whippet & so I am also reasonably experienced with senior/sensitive/anxious dogs and pets with social/behavioural quirks. I am confident & experienced in walking dogs that need to be kept away from other dogs!

I have completed a couple of local housesits on my own and am now looking to complete some sits in New Zealand with my husband Tim (38). Tim is a natural with animals and is the guy that everyone's dog instantly wants to be best friends with. He is the unofficial animal rescue ranger at the high school where he teaches Marine Science and Biology. We are both planning on doing our WIRES training later this year so we can finally both become official wildlife carers.

Together we are a friendly, kind and good humoured couple with a great love for animals, the natural world & travel. We are responsible, confident communicators & have excellent problem solving skills. We are non-smoking, very clean/tidy people and will leave your home exactly as we found it.
