We are a couple from the UK on a working holiday visa travelling around NZ. We are looking forward to exploring all the outdoors NZ has to offer and seeking to find some bases to do that from.
We are hoping to find work in some locations depending how long our stay is however one of us will always keep ourselves avaliable for house/pet sitting. We have our own vehicle so transport is not an issue.
We are looking for a peaceful kind of lifestyle and always respect the living space we are in.
Both of us have owned pets and in the last couple of years whilst living together we have petsit for a few dogs of friends/family regularly and once house sit, dogs and children.
Kirsten and Joe looked after our house and chickens for several weeks and on our return the house was lovely and tidy. They responded to my contacts, but didnt bother us with problems and were able to manage to mow some of the lawn even though there were problems with the rideon mower. Happy to recommend this young couple for housesitting.
Kirstin and Joe were nicely focused on the health and well-being of our cats and (walking) of our dogs. One of our dogs is quite elderly and needed a vet visit and some toileting clean-up due to health issues, none of this fazed Kirstin and Joe. Would be very happy to have them back... On return all our pets were relaxed and happy.
We had the privilege of having Joe and Kirsten look after our property and dogs for the three weeks while we were away on holiday. A truly lovely couple. They kept the house clean and tidy but most important they cared for our two dogs with the utmost devotion. We wish them nothing but happy, safe travels and would welcome them back to stay anytime.
