70ish , Mature house sitter

Hi all,
I have been house sitting for the last twelve
years, 99% of my contacts have been by word of mouth.. and would be happy to offer references if needed.

Generally my sits have always been in the Auckland region, since being retired I had opened up to anywhere in NZ, but now the way the economy is I am staying within driving distant of Auckland region…
I would dearly love to go South and maybe as economic crisis settles then I may do..
I have family in Wanaka and would love to make this my starting point…..

I own a small campervan, which I use to get around and to do some travelling and living in between housesits.
So when i look at sitting for you, i need to know that my van will have off street parking. The van is no longer than an average car, about 5 meters long, but stand 3. Metres high, so need clearance. Most on site driveways seem to work. It is a long wheel base so would need room to turn, which some driveways don’t have.

I am a born and bred New Zealander, of Mature years with loads of Life experiences under my belt..... hopefully have laearned all the life experiences I needed to learn....😄🙏

I have looked after cats, dogs, chickens, cows, gold fish, pigs, horse, pony, Turkeys, oh and worm farms... on a small scale..

I am honest and reliable, I take pride in looking after your home and/or pets, all will be well looked after. My time with your pets is all about them and their needs.

I am retired so would be around during the day to take care of any special needs your pet may have.. or just making sure they have daily company.

Or if you just need someone to take care of your home I am the one.

So if you are thinking of a extended or short breaks away and would need a sitter to look after your home and or pets, please send me a message.
I do like to meet home owners and in particular any pets I would sit. My policy if pets unsure of me, (something that hasn’t happened in fact the opposite) then I would rethink the sit or another visit with them before we go ahead.

No rating Iskra looked after our home and two large dogs for 3 weeks while we travelled overseas. She did a great job, and we felt reassured at every step that our fur-babies would be well cared for. Iskra's communication was excellent throughout and we found her to be very reliable and dependable. When we returned home we found a tidy home and very happy dogs. Definitely recommend Iskra's services to others.

WONDERFUL experience with a super lovely sitter. ISkra had great communication from day one, our dogs and cat just adored her and were all very happy. House was very tidy and even our crazy delicate Bonsais made it out alive> we were gone quite a longtime and I can highly recommend Iskra to anybodybody looking for a trustworthy housesitter that the animals adore. No issues at all. Wonderful experience ! Thank you so much !

We absolutely loved our connnection with Ishkra: she is authentic and relaxed, as well as being very efficient and organised. We would definitely recommend her... though not too much, since we hope to keep her for ourselves! ;P She's a keeper!

Iskea was an excellent choice. She took such good care of our dog and cat , and left our house spotless. She sent us regular photos and updates, with the cat sitting on her lap and our large dog trying to sit on her lap. We never worried about our pets one bit when we were away for the month. We can highly recommend her.

Iskra was incredible. We were worried about leaving our dogs and home for a month. Iskra ensured we had peace of mind with continuous communication, keeping us updated with daily pics of our dogs confirming their well being. We were able to enjoy our holiday. Iskra was a fantastic pet sitter for our dog Nala and our house was spotless on our return. Nala is very imprinted on us, so Iskra was wonderful in taking the time to let Nala settle while we were gone and spend good quality time with her. She sent us several updates with photos to ensure all was going well. I could tell Nala enjoyed a lovely bond with Iskra on our return and would love to have her look after her again.

Iskra is a wonderful house sitter! My golden retriever was well cared for and actually quite spoilt, receiving extra walks and even sleeping on the bed next to Iskra!
