We are a responsible friendly couple who absolutely adore animals and have been full time house sitters since June 2022. Ivan is from Mexico and I Lara am a Dutch Kiwi, originally born in the Netherlands. Growing up, we both looked after pet dogs and cats, while Lara also grew up rurally and has experience looking after both horses and sheep. We are clean, tidy people who love to go for walks in nature and would love to take any doggies we look after for walks with us. We both work fulltime hours, Lara as a dispatcher in a corporate company, with occasional work from home hours as an academic marker and Ivan as a forklift driver. We both love spending time in the evenings and weekends playing and cuddling with the furry friends we have the pleasure to look after.
We are both happy to provide any details required and would love to meet with you should you consider us likely carers for your animal friends.

Lara and Ivan stayed at our house for a 4-month period, giving wonderful care to our cat Debbie. They were excellent communicators and provided regular updates about Debbie - including videos! They also left the house in very clean condition and kept the garden in fine shape. They are a lovely, trustworthy couple and we fortunate that they were able to provide such great house/pet sitting. Highly recommended!
When we met Lara and Ivan for the first time, we took great comfort that we had the right couple for our house sit. Even after the second meeting, we felt they would become part of the family. While away on our trip, we had clear and constant updates from Lara about how the dog and cat were doing, which included their eating and play habits. Lara and Ivan have been the most amazing, resilient house sitters. They had the misfortune to be at our home when cyclone Gabrielle hit. They endured days without power , running water or communication with their only way out completely flooded. Excellent! We had Lara and Ivan come in for a week to look after our home and our cat and they did a wonderful job. We had no worries at all while we were on holiday knowing everything was great at home. Would 10/10 recommend and have them back in a heat beat.
We had the pleasure of having Ivan and Lara housesit for us for two weeks. They are a lovely couple who were very caring of our animals and their needs. Communication was exceptional and we got regular updates on how our pets were doing. They left our home very clean with everything in its place and linen used washed and dried. The animals were very well looked after. They communicated well all through our holiday which was excellent and sent us photos of the pets which made us more relaxed while on holiday. The house was kept clean and tidy and pets very happy on our return. Thanks and very recommended.
Lara and Ivan were the perfect people for our very first time using house sitters. From our first time meeting them we knew our animals were in kind caring hands. Lara sent me updates and pictures while away which really helped. They were very gracious in waiting a week for us to get home when our plumbing sprung a leak inside a wall and started creeping it's way through the carpet. Would highly recommend them and would be more than happy for them to sit again in future.
