Hello there!

I’m Lou and I’m from Bristol in the UK, where I’ve been working as a video producer for 8 years. When I turned 30, I decided to take a career break to travel Asia and then finish my trip in New Zealand on a working holiday visa. I arrived in Auckland on 18th Nov and am looking to combine my love for slow travel with petsitting.

I grew up with cats and have done a lot of petsitting for friends and family. I’m very calm and patient, so can put shy pets at ease. When living in Bristol, I routinely would pet sit two cats (Lazlo and Vlad - yes, named after What We Do in the Shadows characters) and was able to win the trust of the shyer cat, who usually spends his time hiding under the bed.

I’m organised, reliable and a great communicator. I’m happy to send updates and photos as regularly as you’d like.

Currently, I’m spending a lot of my mornings and evenings writing a children’s novel and then enjoy spending the afternoon exploring with my camera, but I can tweak my routine according to the schedule and needs of petsitting.

I’m very happy to do a video call ahead of the stay, to make sure I’m a good match :)
