I'm Steffi, a lovely and very caring 36 year old female. I'm originally from Germany and moved to NZ about 11 years ago. I looove animals. I grew up with dogs, cats, fish, rabbits and guinea pigs, and I miss having pets around me.
I'm working as a data analyst from home, which is very handy as I can work from anywhere. I have completed studies as a nutritionist and personal trainer, and am doing some of it online as well.
I love the outdoors. I'm into hiking and mountain biking. I also love cooking and baking. I'm a very relaxed and easy going person, and I love animals. I have had multiple house and pet sittings in the last year via a facebook group, but decided to join kiwihouse sitters as there are more options. I can provide lovely references from previous house sits. I'm very good with dogs (big and small), cats and also small animals like rabbits. I worked on a dairy farm and am also comfortable looking after livestock.
My current situation doesn't allow me to have my own pets, and that's why house and pet sitting is a great opportunity for me to connect and spend time with animals. I believe animals are truly amazing and healing.
I don't even know where to begin! Steffi and Mike are amazing people both genuine friendly and trustworthy! They sent the best videos and pics of our pups along the way which not only helped in missing them but showed us how well the dogs were being tended too and the bond they formed! I think the house and garden were better off on our return haha! Absolutely great communication and response! Hope to keep in touch cannot recommend them enough!
If you are looking for a house/pet sitter Steffi and her partner Mike could not be bettered! Communication from the outset was A1 and this contiuned the whole time we were away. Felt we were leaving house and Luna with good friends not someone we had just met! We would book them again in a heartbeat, if they were available!!

Steffi and her partner house sat for three weeks and looked after our rescue cat Harley.
She exceeded our expectations - Harley was really well looked after (petted, fed and loved) and the house was squeaky clean when we returned. Steffi kept us in the loop via Messenger and sent us updates and photos of Harley. She really cared and felt responsible, which gave us confidence. It was our first time having a house sitter and we would do it again any time, preferably with Steffi! 5 Stars x
Steffi was such an amazing housesitter. The animals were very happy, the house was tidier than when we left and her regular updates were so reassuring. I would definitely recommend Steffi and hope we can use her again.
Steffi was wonderful for the 3 week cat house sit. Reliable, communicated brilliantly, helpful, most pleasant. Highly recommend her. She left the house clean and tidy, changed the bed and put a wash on the line! Doris the cat was very well looked after and pines for her now she has gone,
Steffi sat our house, dog and cat for 9 days. We couldn’t have wished for a better sitter. The dog got plenty of excercise which he needs. The house was spotless on our return, and plants were all well cared for. But above all Steffi was a joy to have in our house - so friendly and a great communicator. We have already booked Steffi for another sit.

Steffi was great, she works from home so gave us reassurance that Pussy had company and there was some one around the house. She communicated with us while we were away and kept us up to date, left the house nice and clean, and Pussy was relaxed and happy on our return. Thank you and hopefully you might be available next time we need a cat and house sitter. 😊

We were rapt on our home coming to find very happy goats which had obviously had a lot of love and care while we were away and the chickens were just as happy.

Steffi was fantastic! This long weekend was the first time that we’d entrusted someone to look after our 2 pets since moving to Nelson 2 years ago. Steffi was very responsive and respectful. She contacted us only when necessary while we were away (over Guy Fawkes) to let us know that they were okay 🤗 I was so sad when Steffi told me she was moving away from Nelson - I thought I’d found my gem of a sitter!
Steffi bonded with the cats very quickly. She was a tidy and conscientious pet sitter and was a pleasure to have at the house. She locked herself out of the house which thankfully was resolved by kind neighbours and my holiday was cut short so I had to come home early. Very pleasant person and I wish her good luck in her new home in January.

Steffi was an absolute gem! She looked after our two dogs extremely well. When we came home the house was positively sparkling and the dogs were for, healthy and very well behaved. There is nothing more secure than having people at home while you're away. Get a house sitter.
