Hi! We are Luka (33) and Joe (33) from Nottingham, England. We have recently decided to leave our jobs as a high school teacher and accountant to explore the beauty of New Zealand.

I (Joe) grew up in the English countryside surrounded by animals and greenery. Growing up we had 7 dogs, 2 cats, a flock of chickens, a couple of ferrets and even nursed an injured owl for a brief period.. as a result I'm comfortable around most animals! I've worked as an accountant for around 10 years and most recently worked in the property damage restoration sector. With the extension of the working holiday visa age I've decided to seize this opportunity to explore the other side of the world. I love the outdoors and being in nature. I'm looking forward to hiking and seeing what New Zealand has to offer!


I (Luka) have spent the last decade traveling and living abroad, including 2 years in Australia and 2 years in Vietnam spent teaching English as a foreign language to young children. I love the freedom of exploring a new country, and enjoyed a few long-term house sits during my time in Australia. I thought this would be a perfect opportunity for Joe and I to spend some time learning about New Zealand and giving all of our affection and attention to some animals along the way! In my spare time I enjoy sewing (I love vintage fashion) and running.

We are a very active couple with a love for all animals, and look forward to the responsibility of taking care of your pet(s) whilst you are away.

PS I also bake - so you can expect some goodies upon your return! ;)

OH MY GOSH. We had the pleasure of having Luka and Joe housesit for us for a month. They both took such great care of our third child (Maltese dog - Teddy) and our home as if it were their own. We cannot recommend these lovely people highly enough. They've been incredible. We were sent daily snaps of Teddy which reassured us he was in the best care. We came home to a pristine house, home baked cookies, and even toast and milk for breakfast (We flew in very late) So thoughtful. Feel ... MORE

Luka and Joe were absolutely incredible housesitters! They looked after our pup and kitten like they were their own. Left the house so clean and were great at keeping in comms while we were overseas. They were also very easygoing and accommodating, particularly given we ran into hot water issues which they handled like champs! Would gladly have them back to stay anytime, was an absolute pleasure.

Luka and Joe did a great job of looking after our house and pets. The house was clean and tidy when we got back and the pets were all content. They even washed and dried the bed linen for us. Communication was good with regular updates to keep us in the loop. Would definitely recommend to others for a house sit

Luca & Joe were amazing House Sitters where nothing was ever too much trouble for them and they came across a couple of issues concerning our Home and dealt with them as we would have. We arrived home to a very spin and span house as though we had never left. Highly recommend these 2.
