We are a semi-retired couple who used to live on a rural lifestyle block and have lived with and cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, ducks, chooks, goats, sheep, and horses. We don't currently have fur-babies as we have just downsized and are now temporary urbanites. I am a keen gardener, fastidious housekeeper, and lover of the outdoors. I have also been known to do a bit of cooking on the side. We are looking for our slice of paradise to call home, so house/pet sitting is a great way for us to travel the country while we search for that ‘little’ corner of Aotearoa that makes our hearts sing. Having done this for a few months now, we consider ourselves to be well seasoned house sitters who are mature enough to have experienced just about everything life could possibly throw at you. Your lovely home and much-loved pets are guaranteed the best of care, though we absolutely refuse to fall in love with them. Glowing personal references can be supplied should they be required. We cannot speak highly enough of Rosie and Mike because they are just the most wonderful couple and they really, really took care of our pet and our home. They went over and above with many things, including dinner ready for us and the house was immaculate. We would have no hesitation in recommending Rosie and Mike to others and they will be our first choice for future sits.

Roseanne and Mike were wonderful Housesitters. Right from the beginning we knew we could have confidence about having them live in our home. Their communication was superb through the whole 11 weeks with regular updates. They cared for our 2 dogs so well. We were SO lucky to have Rose & Mike. I was emotional about leaving our 18 month old puppy for a month! But he was so loved and cared for by such a wonderful couple. He got to have lots of exciting adventures to the beach, and we got lots of videos sent to us , seeing him so happy was the best! An extra bonus, that I was so grateful for, was how tidy and organised Rosie treated our home. We cant wait to have them back one day!!

Rosie and Mike were the dream house/pet sitters for us. New to having someone to look after our elderly very dependent dogs, we couldn't have found a more caring and reliable couple. The dogs were extremely well looked after and the house and garden in immaculate condition when we got back. Couldn't recommend them enough and would have them back in an instant, they were amazing to deal with, we were luck to have them.

Coco (my needy boxer cross) struck gold when Roseanne and Mike turned up to take care of her while I was away. She was happy and settled when I returned. In fact she look slightly disappointed when I arrived home. The house was immaculate . They picked me up from the airport and the fridge had been stocked with essentials to get me through the first few days. Communication while I was away was excellent. They are thoughtful and trustworthy sitters. Simply the best.

We couldn't be happier Our home was left in perfect condition with food in the fridge ready for an evening meal - very very thoughtful Made us feel cared for. Felt like family. No hesitation. Would certainly call on Rose and Mike again

We couldn’t have asked for better housesitters with Rose and Mike. They looked after our 3 older cats like they were their own. Rose kept in great contact and sent photos and updates. The house was well looked after as well. And when the unthinkable happened and we had to make the decision to have one of the cats euthanised due to a medical issue while we were still overseas. Rose and Mike looked after our pet “Posie” and house when we spent a month in the UK. We returned to a beautifully clean house and a very cared for little dog. A lovely touch was a cooked meal and flowers on our return. Being our first house and pet sit we were quite concerned about leaving our house and loved pet to strangers but after meeting them and being reassured that they would look after both with every care, we left with only a few qualms.
