Backpacking Brit on a 12-month working holiday visa. Currently travelling South Island. Love animals (grew up with cats, rabbits, Guinea pigs and goldfish). Already missing the cats from back home. Have experience looking after cats of all ages from kitten to elderly (our family cats made it to age 17 and 20). I have looked after cats and dogs around NZ so far. Many in the Wellington area.
Currently on a sabbatical having worked as a copywriter in marketing/advertising for 12 years. Looking to explore New Zealand however I can. Ideally looking to housesit properties near to public transport links as I don’t have my own transport.

It was such a joy to connect with Liz and to know that my flat and cat were well cared for while I was away. Liz was easily contactable, autonomous, ready and willing to help with some unexpected tasks that popped up along the way, and most importantly generously loving with my fur-baby 😻 Her flexibility with my return date was greatly welcomed and I felt a sense of relief returning home to a clean and cozy space, just as I left it! Liz helped us out immensely with a last minute house sit so we could attend a family funeral. She communicated with us from the beginning and was very flexible and easy going.
