Backpacking Brit on a 12-month working holiday visa. Currently based in Wellington. Love animals (grew up with cats, rabbits, Guinea pigs and goldfish). Already missing the cats from back home. Have experience looking after cats of all ages from kitten to elderly (our family cats made it to age 17 and 20). When my previous boss in the UK would go away, I was relied upon to care for their cat and administer medication/food, etc so was trusted with house keys. Have looked after cats and dogs around NZ so far. Many in the Wellington area.
Currently on a sabbatical having worked as a copywriter in marketing/advertising for 12 years. Looking to explore New Zealand however I can. Ideally looking to housesit properties near to public transport links as I don’t have my own transport. I also have casual jobs working front of house for several event companies (working weddings, corporate dinners, rugby matches, etc) so from time to time I may be called to work a shift and could be out of the house for a few hours at a time.
