I'm Paloma, a Chilean veterinarian specialized in animal behaviour and welfare. I have plenty of experience with dogs, cats, and birds, also some experience and knowledge with non-traditional animals like guinea pigs, hedgehogs, and reptiles. I have the background to care for your furry/feather/scaly companions with love and expertise.

I've been pet-sitting for almost two years here in NZ.

I am currently working in Auckland as a senior dog handler and trainer.

I'm an easygoing, patient, and responsible person. I love to practice yoga, birdwatching, listening to music, reading and meditation. Super chilled plans to share with animals.

I love to be around animals in any capacity and dearly miss my pets at home, so I'm very keen to show some love to some wonderful animals!

Paloma is the best sitter ever. She looked after my furry baby so well and sent me frequent updates. Also, she left the house super tidy and cleaned... better that when I left. Great communication and prompt response every time I contacted her. I would definitely book her service again if available 😊. All the best!!

I was lucky that Paloma was available again as I have complete trust in her to care for my house and cat Kuma. Kuma loves Paloma - that's obvious from how relaxed and well-groomed she looks when I return home. Paloma left the house sparkling clean and had even made up the bed for me. Thank you, Palo!

Paloma was a wonderful Housesitter for us. Our home was very clean on our return. Both our cats were happy and contented - even our very shy cat Vinny. She sent regular updates with photos which was very reassuring. We are looking forward to having her house sit for us again in the future.

Paloma has been a fantastic help to our family during a difficult time. We had to travel for medical reasons, so it was wonderful to have peace of mind that everything was being well cared for at home. As my first time using this platform, I was so impressed and relieved with how wonderful Paloma was. The first time I met her, she was incredibly warm and welcoming and I knew I could trust her to look after my home and animals for 3.5 weeks. We kept in touch while I was away and I got regular updates about my cat and chickens. She left the house just as I had left it for her which was fabulous. Paloma was fabulous and I felt very reassured leaving my 2 cats in her care. She visited a couple of times before the sit to help my timid cats get used to her. While I was away, Paloma sent regular photos and updates. I came home to a clean house and 2 healthy and happy cats. I would welcome her back at any time.

My main concern in finding a house sitter was the welfare of my cat Kuma. It was clear from the moment I met Paloma that she was the right choice. She approached Kuma slowly, gently and confidently, and asked all about her diet and daily activities. I was away for a month. Paloma emailed every few days and sent photos and reports. Paloma was excellent - she looked after our large dog and two cats very well. Her communication was great and she left the house clean and tidy. She kindly sent us pictures of our pets while we were on holiday - they clearly had a great time with her. Highly recommended.
