Pet-sitting / house-minding experience:

I have a lifetime of experience looking after dogs and cats. Growing up we had 3 dogs, and for 18 years I had several cats who I adored.

I've been pet-sitting for over 10 years, and between Sept 2022 and Nov 2023 pet-sat full-time around New Zealand. Since moving into my own home this year, I continue to do pet-sitting for enjoyment, as I'm not ready to have my own pets again.

I lived in Auckland for 35 years, mainly the north shore, central and west Auckland, so I know these areas very well. Currently I am based in the Queenstown Lakes area, and pet sit often in Queenstown, Arrowtown and Wanaka, as well as travelling to Auckland and Christchurch on occasion.

As a homeowner, I take great pride in looking after people's pets and homes, caring for them as if they were my own. I enjoy keeping the garden tidy, watering plants, looking after veggie gardens.

Occasionally for distance reasons (ie if I have to fly to your destination) I will not have my own car, in which case use of homeowners car would be appreciated.

Kim was an excellent solution for us with our 5 month old pup and we felt so comfortable leaving both him and our home in her capable hands. We really appreciated her thorough approach to gather all the information she might need prior to us leaving and her excellent house sitting form was well worth the time.
Our pup instantly felt calm and at ease in her presence and her communications while away were excellent. The house was clean and as we had left it on return. We would highly recommend Kim to anyone wanting their pets & house looked after. {note - have been asked back to housesit again for this family].

Kim was very organized and communicated a lot while we were away. Sending pictures of the [two] dogs out walking and at home relaxing, which were so good to receive. They seemed very happy and comfortable. The house was very tidy when we got home and was as we left it. She took very good care of our property and plants. Both were looking good on returning home.

Three months is a long time to be a way from your animals, property and home (especially on a rural lifestyle block). Given this, we invested a lot of time initially selecting the right Housesitting Company and then our housesitter. After selecting the company, we were provided with some great potential housesitters. Through discussing our specific requirements (especially, as they related to our two dogs, cat and chickens) it became clear that Kim had to be our housesitter. During our time a way Kim ensured that we were kept across what was happening at home and ensured that we had lots of photos and videos of our animals. Returning after 3 months was made even more special when our animals were in such great spirits and obviously had a great connection with Kim. We thank Kim and wish her all the very best for her future Housesitting Adventures.”

Kim recently looked after my home, and pets, while I was on holiday for one-month. I am pleased to highly recommend her for any future house sitting opportunities. Kim ensured that my property and pets (2 dogs, and 1 cat) were well cared for while I was away. We came home to a clean home, and happy pets. Kim also communicated promptly and effectively, providing me with updates (at my request) throughout her stay.
Overall, I was very satisfied, and I would not hesitate to have Kim housesit for us again.

I requested Kim to house sit and look after my 16month old Chihuahua, Tommy while I went overseas for approximately 7 weeks. This was my first time away from my dog and I was quite nervous about leaving him. I found Kim to be very warm, lovely, friendly and great at communicating, she put my nerves at ease and after I left for the airport I felt very comfortable leaving her to look after the house and Tommy. Kim is very engaging and very easy to talk to. I was kept up to date with regular emails and photos of how things were going at the house and what exciting activities her and Tommy did. Anything that Kim was not sure of she would send me an email to ask for clarification, input or suggestion. I was very confident that Tommy was in good hands. Kim looked after the house well, attended to some gardening for me and when I returned the house was very clean and tidy! I would have no hesitation in recommending Kim to house sit a home and look after pets. If I had the opportunity again to request Kim to house sit I would definitely ask for her.

Kim arrived at the time arranged and was honest and caring towards my cat. I received regular photos of my cat while I was away, and when I came home my house was clean and tidy. I would not hesitate to have her house sit again to look after my cat. [note - owner did invite me to housesit again].

Kim was such a delight to have - a nice, easy going person. very clean and thoughtful and she kept us updated all the time with photos [2 dogs and 1 cat] and details. Definitely recommend her for others, and would definitely love to work with her again in the future.

Kim looked after our home, two cats and our garden. The house was immaculate, cats all happy and garden alive when we came back. Unfortunately my husband had to come home early - Kim was very accommodating and left a few days early as a result. All up a great result. We would use her again
