Hi fellow Animal Lovers! I’m originally from the beautiful cotswolds in England, but I have been calling NZ home for the last 18 years. I arrived here in the middle of my OE and got a "temporary" job to help pay for my travels. That job lasted 12 years!
I had pets most of my life before coming to NZ, from dogs and cats to parrots, mice and rats. It was hard not having animals around so in May 2023 I embarked on my fabulous house-sitting adventure where I've already gotten to look after some very cool pets, at the same time being able to discover parts of Auckland that I wouldn't ordinarily have seen. This led to me being lucky enough to buy a house of my own, and now I'm finally joined by Frankie, my long awaited for puppy.
Frankie is a very happy and friendly chocolate labrador, who can't think of anything better than playing with her doggy friends. She's happy to have a meet and greet first before any potential sleepover, however she is crate trained and will sleep quite happily in there overnight.
I do take part in a lot of running/walking events in and around Auckland. If you have a dog that is willing and I have an event that allows dogs, then they can join in too. With me being a lover of walking and exploring, your dog will no doubt get their steps in!
I do currently work from home and don't like to leave Frankie on her own for any longer than 5 hours.
I do have a bit of experience in medicating animals, volunteering in the past at the SPCA cat flu ward in Mangere as well as medicating my own pets and pets I've looked after.
