Hello,
I'm about to start on a new adventure from mid October when I am free to housesit again. I will be in the North Island from 11 December '24.
I am a mature, reliable and responsible lady, who loves to explore new places. Over the past 15 years I have done many house and farmsits - during which I cared for a variety of animals - and I have wwoofing / helpX experiences both in NZ and overseas, so if there is some gardening to be done or you have animals to look after, no problem.
I would love to look after your vegie garden.
I am an experienced organic gardener, and that also includes edibles. As a past lifestyle block owner (in Northland) I developed and maintained extensive gardens as well as cared for a variety of animals, all of which I loved doing.
There is one limitation unfortunately, I injured my hip last year and that means I can't take big dogs out for a walk.
A police check was done as requirement for volunteer work I did in 2010 in Vietnamese orphanages. And another one again for my job as a personal caregiver during 2013.
For my ongoing study and work in homeopathy and other modalities I need a good internet connection. Born and raised in the Netherlands, I have been living in NZ for many years.
Non-smoker and vegetarian.

Caroline looked after our place for two weeks over Christmas and did an amazing job! It was nice to go away and know my animals and gardens were being looked after.
We came home to happy pets and a spotless house!

I was so pleased to be able to book Caroline. Everything worked out well, our animals were well cared for. Caroline asked questions to clarify anything from our house sitting information document. Great communication.
Caroline agreed to our house sit at fairly short notice allowing us to have a break away and know that our rescue cat had company. We are more than happy to have Caroline house sit for us again (she had also looked after our home/cat back in 2015/2016) As we have a large section used as the Dargaville Parkover Caroline was able to stay the night before in her motorhome prior to the house sit. thanks, Caroline.
I can highly recommend Caroline. Ella our dog was happy with her new friend, the chickens were still clucking happily. Everything was fine. Caroline will be the first one to contact when we next go away.
My wife and I were very happy with Caroline's care of our dog during the time we spent away. It was comforting to know she was well cared for and made it possible for us to enjoy our holiday without concerns.
Caroline did a wonderful job of housesitting, and caring for our cat Archie. They got on really well, and when we returned home, we found him very relaxed. Caroline looked after our home superbly - everything was very clean and tidy on our return, and the plants were well-looked after. Caroline was also good on communication while we were away. Caroline and John are a lovely couple, They were easy to communicate with, They looked after our farmhouse and 2 dogs and a cat. The house was cleaner and tidier than when I left and the dogs and cat were very settled and happy. I would highly recommend them as housesitters. It felt really good knowing Caroline was in my house while I was on holiday. She had done some gardening for me and had made sure the fish pond was topped up. The house was very clean and tidy when I got home and I would certainly use her again if she was available
