Hi, I'm Anna McKinlay, born and raised in Wellington New Zealand. I've also lived in Canada and Germany, and traveled around New Zealand, Australia, Europe, and more.

I've enjoyed living with pets most of my life. Our pets can teach us so much about how to enjoy life!

I'm a cat-and-dog-lover ;-)

I grew up with our cats "Daphne", and "Candy Tuft" who I considered one of my best friends when I was young! And as an adult, I have been the parent/companion to feline "fur-sons" for decades. Sadly our last cat "Harley" passed away in early 2023 at the ripe old age of 20 years.

I've also cared for our family dog (a beagle called "Amy"), and taken care of my Mum's dogs - mostly fox terriers. I've house and dog sat for her when needed. I love the way dogs live in the moment - they certainly help keep life in perspective! As someone who loves walking, I enjoy to opportunity for a daily ramble (or two) with a canine companion :-)

More about me ... I have a varied work life. Currently working part-time as a Chief Advisor at the New Zealand Commerce Commission, I've also done consulting work, as well as life coaching, well-being coaching, and more.

Now that my two children are older, and launching into their lives as independent young adults, I'm taking the opportunity to see more of New Zealand and the world - I love to travel, and to get out and walk in nature - and pet sitting is a wonderful way to do that, while at the same time helping others to get away from it all. A true 'win-win' ;-)
