Carolyn & Mark Veldmeijer

Mark and I are professionals who enjoy connecting with people, love nature (both flora and fauna) and who like to travel and explore. Housesitting would give us the opportunity to discover parts of our beautiful country that we haven't yet been to, to revisit places we already love and to be near family and friends.
We come from a family of housesitters - my parents and our adult children have house sat for many years - so, even though we have only done a few private house sits, we are well aware of what is expected in that role.
Our family has had cats and birds as pets over the years and I (Carolyn) was brought up on a sheep farm, so there have always been animals in our lives. Our pets have been important and loved members of our family!
We would always want to treat other people's homes, gardens and pets with the utmost respect and care.
In our spare time, we love to cycle, walk, garden, listen to podcasts and music and spend time with family and friends. We are easy-going, tidy, conscientious and believe in communicating well.
We hope that you will consider us for your house-sit; it would be our pleasure to take care of your home and your pets!
