Reliable, responsible pet sitter

Hi, I’m Shane, a 52 year old Kiwi recently returned home after living in the UK for over 20 years.

I love animals and, once settled, hope at some point to have my own. In the meantime, I would very much appreciate the opportunity to take care of your furry friends.

I’m still working for my employer in the UK so will be working from home most of the time to look after your property and keep your pets company. I’m also happy to water plants, mow lawns or do anything else that’s needed.

I’m non-smoking, easy-going, clean and tidy. I like to keep fit and active – playing tennis and swimming weekly together with long walks.

I’m respectful of other people, their pets and their property. I will look after your home as if it is my own. I own two rental properties so know the importance of having trusting people in your home.

I have previously house and pet sat for friends in the UK and really enjoyed the experience. I love animals and grew up with cats and dogs. I recently spent a year house and cat sitting for a friend in London while they spent most of their time living in Cornwall.

Please contact me if you feel I would be suitable for your needs.

Shane was an amazing sitter, taking great care of both our home and our dog Marvel. The house was left in amazing condition, and he went to great lengths to care for Marvel - this was our first time leaving Marvel for such a long duration, so he was emotional and needy! Shane was also very responsive in terms of communication, both before and during the housesit. In short, a very responsible, matured, and caring house sitter. Highly recommended!

Despite Shane suffering from an awful, not at fault, car accident on his way to our house sit, he was happy to continue looking after our cat, house and garden. Shane kept in regular touch with us and sent photos of our cat, which we much appreciated. We returned home, after a month, to a very happy, settled cat and a tidy house and garden. We wish Shane all the very best for any future house sits he decides to undertake. Best regards, Heather
