Mature professional couple enjoying a clean non smoking honest lifestyle with skills that ensure our home or yours is kept clean, tidy and secure. Visiting from Australia and wishing to explore any area that delights with New Zealand culture and vistas. We do not have any flights booked and hope to secure house sits which will enable us to then plan flight dates.
We both strive to maintain our garden and home in a pleasant condition as per the photos in our profile. Peter is a very capable handy man with diverse trade skills and I spent much of my working life in administration and customer service. We both enjoy walking or cycling and exploring Australia across all states and territories. Whilst our 2 sons were growing up, we happily added dogs, cats, fish, chooks and birds over the years. Our family has expanded now to wives and grandchildren which we thoroughly cherish and give reason to travel north and spend time with our Queensland family. The catch phrase that 'we will treat your home and pets with the same love and attention we give our own', is certainly true. We have received very favourable reviews from all Australian home owners and their delightful dogs, cats, chooks, Alpacas and miniature goats; some of which appear in our profile pictures. Our beautiful cat Dilmah is also shown but sadly no longer with us.
We are keen to hear from you if you feel we may be the right couple for your house sit needs. Use of a car or push bikes whilst undertaking a sit will be welcome whilst we visit your great land. We both hold unblemished Australian car and motorcycle licences and have an Australian home owner happy to verify our respectful use of their vehicle/push bikes whilst minding their home. Due to health issues it is requested that strong scented items such as candles, scented sticks or room deodorisers be popped away prior to our sit. Whilst we love walking dogs if required, it is necessary for them to be appropriately trained for walking on a lead. We appreciate that pet owners have a variety of house rules, one of ours was not having pets on beds with us while sleeping, so please respect our preferences in this regard.

Fiona & Peter were wonderful house sitters looking after our garden and house. They were easy to keep in touch with before and during the housesit. We wouldn't hesitate to have them stay again and would highly recommend them to others. We wish them all them best with their travels and hopefully our paths with cross again one day. I couldn't believe that Fiona and Peter were prepared to travel from Victoria to Queensland to housesit for me!. Fortunately they had family to visit in Townsville which made the long journey more worthwhile.
Unfortunately the weather was unusually hot for much of their stay, but they perservered and even offered to extend their stay to help me out.

We cannot praise these house sitters enough. Everything is kept beautifully neat and tidy inside and as far as possible outside as well (given the volume of rain lately). This includes maintenance on the property both inside and out. It's been a pleasure to come home to such a well maintained house on both occasions we have had these sitters.
Fiona and Peter were wonderful and let us go away knowing our pets and house were in good hands. Our pets were well looked after and we couldn't have been happier with their care. We sincerely highly recommend them and would certainly have them back for any future sits. Rowena & Roger
Fiona and Peter were wonderful and thoughtful house sitters. They have obviously done a great job in caring for our vegetable garden and our chooks and alpacas. In fact our place outside and inside has been beautifully maintained. They kept us well informed and we have no hesitation in recommending Fiona and Peter for any prospective houses it. Absolutely excellent.
Fiona and Peter were wonderful during our time away. They made the process of leaving our fur children at home extremely stress free! We're absolutely amazing!!
From the start contact was great! Pre and post. We received photos of our fur babies and if we had any questions they got back to us right away.
They are very clean, polite, kind and won't give you anything to worry about whilst away.
They were very respectful to our belongings and pups and from the beginning they both let of a great vibe that they would be the perfect house sitters.
