Kia Ora!

We are a couple who have lived in the Waikato for the last year and a half, after making the move from Banff, Canada, and have recently relocated to Auckland. I am Canadian and my partner, Dane is Kiwi.

We have been pet-sitting on and off throughout New Zealand for 1.5 years. Short sits or long sits, there hasn't been a sit we haven't enjoyed.

I (Allison) currently work remotely as a development manager for arts organisations. I work from home so would be home with the animals most days.

I have a lot of experience looking after pets and absolutely love animals. While in university I worked at a doggie daycare where I worked in the daycare and as a dog walker. I have pet-sat for friends, family, coworkers, and a couple of my previous managers. The longest time I house-sat was for my cousin who went to Europe for 3 months, I took care of her cat and apartment while she was away.

We are currently based in Auckland where Dane works full-time as a qualified arborist. We are open to house-sitting anywhere in the area or surrounding suburbs! We look forward to meeting you and your pets!

Allison and Dane are the loveliest people and we'd highly recommend them! Everything felt so easy and stress-free. They're super-capable and great communicators. Our pets adored them (we're pretty sure Gus, our dog, liked them more than us...). Daily updates with pics were a really nice touch, and the house was spotless when we arrived home. They truly are such genuine and trustworthy people and we'd love to have them back, and we know our pets would too!

Allison and Dane were fantastic! Our house was left impeccable, the fur kids were very happy and communication was great before, during and after our holiday. Ted was treated to an array of activities and was his normal cheeky self while we were away. This is a good sign. Allison and Dane took extra care of our wee Cola too and we’re happy to take her to the vet for a check up. I’m just so pleased we had Allison and Dane in our house. Allison and Dane are amazing. From our first bits of communication, to great updates and photos during our trip and coming home to a tidy house, mowed lawn and most importantly a super happy dog. Allison and Dane left our furries and house on Sunday 17 March and we are so grateful to them in all areas of sitting, they exceeded our expectations and just are such lovely caring and considerate people. We had some great korero whilst we were away, and Allison sent lovely photos that made us feel close even though we were 1000km away. Allison & Dane cared for Riley and the house so well. It was lovely to receive pics of the adventures they'd been up to with Riley and it was clear that he was being well cared for. I returned to a lovely clean house and mowed lawns even! Communication was easy. Thanks guys!

Allison and Dane looked after our kitty Noel for seven weeks. They have visited us before their stay which was very reassuring. They proved to be very kind and reliable and our usually very shy kitty felt very comfortable with them. The communication was great from the start and it was always so heartwarming to see updates and photos of Noel. I can't recommend Allison and Dale highly enough. They gave us a piece of mind during our travels.

Allison and Dane are a delightful couple. I met them briefly before I went away for 7 weeks. They are very genuine, caring and responsible. I knew my elderly cat, my fish and my house were in good, safe hands. They sent me photos of my cat while I was away which I much appreciated. I came home to find they had looked after everything absolutely perfectly. I would highly recommend them for any future houses sits.

Allison and Dane took amazing care of my house and pets. Ivan had a couple of unexpected health issues whilst I was away and I was kept up to date and Allison made sure he had the right care and medication with the vet. Hoping to have them housesitter TV for me again and highly recommend.

Allison and Dane were fantastic. Great communication and we kept in touch throughout the sit. They left the house spotless and Charlie was happy and healthy when we returned. Allison and Dane were really lovely people, very accommodating and great communicators. They had a very difficult house sit through a huge storm and lots of tree damage which they spent a lot of hours cleaning up. They also had a sick cat that required a lot of attention. House was left very clean and tidy. Highly recommend them.

Allison and Dane were fantastic house sitters. They looked after our home and cat for a week over Christmas and took splendid care of everything. Allison kept me regularly posted with updates about kitty Luna, and any events at home, like parcels arriving and wind whipping items around the garden. We travelled secure in the knowledge that everything was being handled with a sense of responsibility and care. We'd highly recommend them!
