Stephanie & Emil

Hello! We’re Emil and Steffie – a cosmopolitan couple from Germany embarking on our dream adventure of settling in New Zealand.

Steffie has a background in nutritional science and brings experience from her work in project management for clinical trials in Germany. Emil completed his PhD in chemistry and later contributed to environmental research at the Federal Environment Agency. Together, we share a deep love for travel, exploring new cultures, learning languages, cooking, ultimate frisbee, and connecting with nature. We will arrive in New Zealand at the beginning of December and our first priority will be to get a car so that we are flexible and mobile.

Why House-Sitting?
As we take our first steps in New Zealand, we’d love to house-sit as a way to settle in, support homeowners, and enjoy the company of some furry friends. Growing up with pets, we've always dreamed of having our own, and this opportunity lets us bring our care and affection to animals along the way.

Attentive Pet Lovers: We’re comfortable with dogs, cats, fishes of all kind and smaller pets, we’re here to provide warmth, play, and dedicated care.
House & Garden Care: Steffie has a green thumb and loves tending to plants and gardens, while both of us are very organized and tidy. Your home will be maintained with utmost respect and kept in excellent order.
Clear Communication & Trust: We understand how important it is to feel comfortable with your house-sitters. Expect regular updates, photos, and open communication from us, giving you peace of mind while you’re away.
