Hello.

We are a couple of retired IT workers from Wellington looking to enjoy the chance to explore areas of New Zealand that we love, while looking after your animals and property.

We are quiet, caring people and will care for your pets, home and garden as if they were our own, and have experience ourselves as house-sitters for friends in Christchurch and Tauranga.

For many years we had two beloved cats, Fluffy and Blinky, for whom we needed house-sitters while we were away on our family adventures (with our two sons), as well as a garden to be watered and cared for, so we understand the needs of property owners who are going away for a while and worry about leaving everything behind, empty and unattended.

When we are at home, we spend our time gardening, reading, doing maintenance jobs around the house, and restoring furniture. We enjoy walking, cycling and skiing. Benedicte is originally from Switzerland and Tony from the UK, and we have lived in NZ for over 20 years.

Benedicte & Tony were great house-sitters, looking after the house, garden and cats with updates during my time away. They even provided helpful advice on a furniture restoration project. It was really good to return home and find the house in a better state than I'd left it in!

Benedicte and Tony were excellent house sitters and cat carers. Our home presented afterwards, sparkling with cleanliness. Benedicte gave our old cat Poppy insulin once daily and her blood sugar was within the normal range today, when tested by the vet. Both cats seemed happy too. We highly recommend Benedicte and Tony to any other home owners!

we were fortunate enough to meet Benedicte and Tony before we left home and I immediately felt confidant that we were leaving our home and animals in good hands. Benedicte communicated with me while we were away and also left a lovely note. It was very helpful that she pointed out a couple of issues in the home which we wouldn't have found out ourselves. I would definitely be happy to have Benedicte and Tony sit for us again
