Currently, I work at Massey University where I am involved in research regarding dietary patterns and health outcomes in older adults. My job allows me to work remotely.
I have been house sitting full time for over 8 years (both in New Zealand and overseas) and interested in establishing ongoing relationships with homeowners.
I am physically active and can walk your dog (cat or rabbit). I enjoy time in the kitchen and the garden, particularly vegetables and native plants. The outdoors is a place I like to be and also on a dance floor.

Karen was AMAZING! Fully recommend her and will be using her for future housesits. She truly takes such much care for your animals and left the house even cleaner than before we left! Karen communicated to us throughout our trip and sent us picture updates. Very professional and friendly.
Karen sat for us while we were overseas and was an excellent housesitter. She took great care of our two cats and our place, even my excessive collection of houseplants! She was wonderfully easy to communicate with during the whole process and made sure we returned to a well-looked-after home and pets. We would not hesitate to have Karen house sit for us again.
Karen did an awesome job of looking after our house and small dog. She was genuinely fond of our Lilly and followed instruction on her food and tablets. Karen called by the house the following day and Lilly was so excited to see her. House was left immaculate. We hope Karen is available next time we require a house-sitter.
Karen came and looked after both my doggo Micco and his little sister cat Sommer. My two were more than happy on my return. Karen stayed the night before I left as I had an early flight. She was great to sit and have a chat with. Karen worked from my home so both doggo and cat had plenty of company. I would recommend Karen to come and look after your house and animals. Karen was simply amazing. She was very communicative, great with our dog, left the house exactly as she found it and handled any glitches / unexpected issues in her stride. We cannot thank Karen enough for her care of our 2 cats combined knowing our home would be cared for as if it was her own. Karen recently minded my house and dog for 7 weeks. At our initial meeting she reassured me that her work pattern could be fitted around the needs of my dog who is used to companionship for a good part of the day. This is always the hardest part of my dog-sitter brief to fulfil.
Nothing was a problem because Karen is pragmatic and has loads of common sense. Furthermore, she has fantastic dog training and handling skills she rather undersells.

Karen was fantastic - our biggest concern was our dog Indie who is our baby. I work from home so she is with me all the time and she is very needy and anxious. Karen was great - she came and met us beforehand and Indie took to her straight away. I felt so at ease about leaving Indie with Karen. Karen did a wonderful job of looking after my place for 5 weeks while i was away overseas, my two cats were very happy, and she was very understanding and accommodating about our lack of water due to it being high Summer and on tank water. She was also very thoughtful when it came to allowing for possible issues with managed isolation. We both felt very comfortable to leave both our cat and house under the care of Karen. Was very prepared for our house sit, asked pertinent questions, and was relaxed and comfortable when we left. Karen was the perfect house and cat sitter-couldn't have asked for anyone more conscientious and reliable. She took the time to know the quirks around the house and gave me a daily update so that I felt 100% certain that was all was well while I was away. Even came back to an immaculately clean house :-)
Karen stayed at our place for a month looking after our beloved cat. We can only highly recommend Karen - she was thorough and took the time to get to know the lay of the land and the quirks of our cat. On our return the house was left clean and completely in order and our furball seemed very content and settled with no problems!

Karen house sat with my two dogs and cat while we travelled in Australia. What an amazing experience, Karen kept us regularly updated on activities with the animals and what was happening at home, which ment we had a wonderfully relaxing trip. We needed a sitter for only 2 days and Karen was very happy to help. Karen is a friendly lady and we were happy to trust our dogs with her. The linen was all washed when she left but better still the dogs were happy. We would use Karen again
I recently spent 5 weeks overseas on holiday and Karen came and stayed in my house and looked after it along with my dog (a westie called Jock) I cannot speak highley enough of the excellent care she took of everything and Jock was totally unfazed when I returned and walked up the driveway, it felt as though I had only popped out for a quick message. I would 110% recommend Karen to any house owners who want total peace of mind while they are away.
Karen was amazing. Our housesit is not the "run of the mill" housesit as we have many different animals and they all have different special needs. My dogs adored Karen and were so settled and happy when we returned home. All the farm animals were well looked after, fed, watered and tended to. The house was in perfect order on our return. Karen and Chris did a fantastic job of looking after our home while we were away but more importantly looking after our two dogs. The dogs were exercised daily and given a lot of time and attention and for that we are very grateful. Karen and Chris are welcome back anytime. :-)
It was a great pleasure to invite Karen to look after my cat and home for 4 weeks. Communication was quick and informative.
As I was able to extend my holiday, it was no trouble for Karen to hand over the sit to another person to continue looking after the cat, as she was already booked for the extra time. The said cat was a very happy animal when I returned home.

Karen house sat for us for 11 days in February. We came home to very happy animals.
The house was extremely tidy on return. We found Karen to be a very pleasant, practical person to take care of our home, 2 dogs, 2 cats, chooks, cattle, goats and a horse!

Karen was a great housesitter. She looked after and out for my animals (cats and poultry), and left the house not only clean but welcoming when I returned, with fresh flowers and a little bit of cooking. I would recommend her unreservedly.
