I am retired, widowed and now live and travel fulltime in my tidy self-contained 7m bus. I've been on the road since Dec 2021 and in that time have helped more than 30 families in the North and South Islands enjoy their holidays while I take care of their houses and pets. Several have been repeat jobs.
I am back in the South island from Feb 2025
I have a smallish male foxy/schnauzer dog Onyx who is well socialised, and fully vaccinated, He has been getting on well with other pets on housesits. As a dog-owner, I have a good understanding of a dog's need for love, attention and exercise
Looking to house and pet sit to give structure and purpose to my travels and give service to others. Prefer medium to small dogs (ok with well behaved bigger dogs) and only easy-care farm animals. I will love and care for your pets as if they were my own. In fact they often end up sleeping on my bed. My priority will always be keeping your animals company and loved, and your house well looked after, rather than sightseeing.
I do prefer to sleep in my own bed in the bus if convenient ( the pets are welcome too ) and rarely need to plug into power

Ann and Onyx were the best sitters someone could hope for. With constant updates and photos of our fur babies it gave us the knowledge that all was good at home. When we arrived back from holiday, after 6 weeks, the house was spotless and Ann had even prepared a welcome home meal, very thoughtful after hours of travel! I would have no hesitation in recommending Ann and Onyx for ant house/pet sit situation.
This was the 1st time we had ever had a house and dog sitter. Ann was a perfect match with her little dog Onyx who was a companion for our dog Jasper. We returned after 2 wks away and you would never have known that Ann had been in the house, it was just a we left it. Jasper was happy and Ann sent us regular little updates. My house plants looked well too which is incredible since I often neglect them. We highly recommend Ann and Onyx. Thanks Ann
Ann was a brilliant sitter,our dog absolutely loved her. Onyx is a wonderful dog and Lucy and Onyx got on very well. Communication was also brilliant.
It gave us real peace of mind to know that the animals were well cared for. It has taken a little awhile for the cats to get used to her dog, Onyx but they have come around very quickly and settled back in without problem. The house and gardens are well looked after and definitely no issues with communication.. Would definitely use her again. Thank you so much.
Ann was our absolute fairy godmother! Handled our two big dogs with no trouble at all! And one of those dogs is particularly boisterous! She made it possible for us to go on our holiday and remain so stress free, we cannot thank her enough. If you are ever lucky to have Ann housesit you and your animals won't be disappointed!
Ann took good care of our home and more importantly our wee dog Shadow. Meet and greet went well with her dog and ours getting along well together. Ann's a very easy going experienced house sitter. She went the extra mile taking us to the Airport and picking us up. She even cooked us a nice cottage pie. Very welcoming to come home too.

Ann was great. Highly recommend her as a house sitter. She took great care of the hose and garden and our boisterous GSP during the 10 days we were away. Ann’s communication leading up to and during the house sit was excellent.
We were so pleased to have Ann return for the 2nd time over the new year period. Ruby greeted Ann as a long lost friend! Ann kept us up to date with how things were going while we were away and it was lovely to come home to a happy dog and well cared for house and garden. Thank you Ann!
Ann was just great, she didn’t leave a stone unturned. Looked after our household while we were on the other side of the world including 3 cats and 1 bird. She gave us excellent communication which made us feel at ease. Ann collected us from the airport in our little bomb car. We came home to tea all prepared, a spotless house and even a cake baked. Ann is AMAZING! Sadie loved her and her little dog Onyx. Ann and I communicated frequently with photo's and updates. I felt very settled with Ann looking after both Sadie and Skittles. The house was very clean and tidy upon our return as well as a meal for our Dinner in the fridge and a cake on the cake stand. I need Ann to visit more often!! Would highly recommend both Ann and Onyx. Beautiful Lady and Furry friend 💕
If you’re looking for someone to love your fur babies as much as you do while you’re away, then Ann’s the sitter for you. On the night of our return Miss Phoebe chose to sleep with Ann and her fur baby Onyx rather than us 😂(little traitor). It was so lovely to come home to a nice clean house and happy pets. I would definitely welcome Ann back and have no hesitation in recommending her to others. Thanks once again Ann & Onyx 🐾♥️
Ann was a competent and professional house and dog sitter. She was unobtrusive whilst we were at home but friendly and helpful too. She was obviously a very big dog fan. Our dog loved having her there. Communication before and during the house sit was spot on. We would recommend without hesitation.

Ann was a splendid person to look after our house and pets. Our gardens well watered.. house while was not used a lot ,left as I would.
My dog Bella was extremely happy, wanting to stay on bus and not come inside with us.. both Bella and cat looked after better almost than we do.
I would highly recommend Ann, and would have her back again if she is here in South Island
