I recently sold my own home and I am housesitting before the next stages in my life. I am quiet and responsible and clean, and very respectful of people's property. I have over 2 years experience, with cats, dogs, horses, chickens, rabbits, a lizard, and livestock. I have always loved all animals and take good care of them. I often look after friends' cats, dogs, rabbits when they go away.
I would be always contactable, respectful of all instructions, pleasant and responsive, and clean and tidy. I am happy to look after plants and do gardening too as required.
My background is working for private and public sectors as an economist for many years and then became a landlord of my own rental property and doing contract office-based work from home. I still do some of this, but fewer hours. I work almost entirely from home. I do a lot of reading and researching with very flexible hours.
My hopes are for a secure, pleasant environment and I love the company of animals.

Nicola is an absolute delight. Our cats and dogs miss her as she walked them everyday and bought them treats and toys. In addition we were delighted to get regular updates while we were away, which helped kids manage home sickness. House and garden all managed beautifully and a lovely letter with an update on everything left for us on our return. We felt absolutely spoilt and recommend Nicola for any house and pet sitting role.

This is the second time Nicola has sat for us and once again we were extremely happy. She has an obvious passion for animals and our diva cat Delilah was very quick to re-establish their relationship from earlier in the year. Regular updates on how things were going whilst we were away gave up peace of mind. Highly recommended.

She was patient enough to eventually even sit in the same room with her which is definitely an accomplishment others haven’t achieved! We were very happy to have Nicola sit for us whilst we were away for a short break. We met a couple of times prior to the sit to make sure everyone was comfortable. During the sit Nicola gave regular updates on our diva cat Delilah, including the 'gifts' she received. Would highly recommend Nicola as a housesitter and can confirm she is great with cats. We've already secured her services again for later in the year.

Nicola house sat, and took wonderful care of our cat, for six weeks. She is open, honest, a great communicator and very fond of cats! Whilst we were away, Nicola kept in touch and sent photos of our cat, which my kids loved.
