Hey there, we are Austen and Krista, a Texan couple who have relocated to New Zealand making it our new home.

We are full-time housesitters and in-between sits, we live in our motorhome to keep our dates open for bookings as we save up for our own home. We would prefer a property we can park the motorhome in but would consider street parking. Unfortunately this lifestyle doesn't bode well for having a pet of our own which we enjoy having.

We always kept pets back home; dogs, cats, tarantulas, birds, of course the Texas livestock and oddly enough, emus. We both enjoy being around animals and are very excited to be able to take care of yours.

Here are a few more things about us:

-Austen is a builder. He enjoys being creative through his art, woodwork, auto/moto and general customization of all things.

-Krista works for an insurance company remotely, enjoys cooking, yoga, meditation, and playing guitar.

We also both enjoy trying out new foods, seeing new places and staying active.

Would highly recommend Austen and Krista and would happily have them back again to look after our house and much loved cat and doggo. Excellent communication from the get go. Extremely accommodating to our annoyingly early leaving and late arrival. We were put at ease and had an amazing holiday safe in the knowledge our pets were happy and safe. Austen & Krista were the perfect house sitters. Both our dogs and older cat were extremely well looked after and love them. The house was well cared for and clean and tidy. We would happily recommend them to anyone, and we'll be reaching out to them as first choice when we need house sitters in the future.

GREAT :Our biggest sign that our dog Boston was happy is how he greeted them a couple of days after our return, it was just like his favorite visitors coming through the door. What was important to us was how much fuss and love he got - he is such a sofie & 6 weeks felt like a long time to leave him. Their communication with us was at good intervals . We also loved the regular photos, with some honesty with the first contact showing several days in one posting -sad day one and less sad day ... MORE

Austen and Krista were amazing. We actually had 2 dogs by the time of the house sit but they didn't mind! The dogs loved them and had such a great time. They sent us regular pics and updates so we knew they were happy and safe. Would love to have them back again!

Austen and Krista are incredible house sitters. They were highly responsive, flexible as our trip changed slightly, and arrived on time. Our dog was so happy in there care and they were happy to follow her medical and training needs. However, the best part by far was coming home to such a clean and cared for home, they even fixed a loose part on our front door! They are so thoughtful. We will definitely reach out to them for future sits.

We had some great cat sitters, but Austen and Krista were the best. Great communication, wonderful with the cats and best of all the house was spotless on our return. They even fixed our front door. I can't recommend them enough.

Austen and Krista did a lovely job with my cat, Marmaduke. They had to be very patient and persevere with him as he really resisted the change to start with and tried to wander off to my neighbours; but they won him over in the end! I was very pleased to have them in the house as I was away for six weeks and they kept me informed of how things were going during that time which made my trip away more relaxed. Much appreciated.

Austin and Krista did a fantastic job looking after Jessie for a week over Christmas. They were very accomodating to a last minute change of date, feeding the neighbours cat and gave us lots of updates on our special girl. House nice & tidy and a happy cat when we got home. Recommend to all!
