Hello, I’m Katie, on a career break from my usual job teaching art with children with visual impairment and career for children with needs. I’m travelling around New Zealand on my working holiday visa however I am mainly based in Auckland as I have found a swim group and life drawing class I am absolutely loving.

I am from a farming background so I am used to caring for animals and family pets! (Meet Lizzy 🐶 & Tayto 🐈‍⬛ my fur babies at home 🇮🇪). I have been doing workaways since arriving in New Zealand and love having my host’s pets for walks and company which is why I am joining house sitters.

I have done one house/dog sit in Ireland which was off grid (no running electricity or water) so can supply a reference from this family if needed! (Iris was a cuddly boxer x lab and best hot water bottle at night).

I am clean and tidy and enjoy gardening so if you have plants or a veggie patch to look after I’d be more than keen!
