Hello! We are a responsible, mature, non smoking couple who like to house/petsit. We consider ourselves to be careful and considerate of other peoples' space and we enjoy keeping a clean and tidy home.

Gene works as a medical editor on his laptop at home making him an ideal pet companion. Anita's hobbies include gardening, cooking, and researching health topics. She is planning her 3rd career as a health coach.

We live in Grey Lynn. We enjoy short staycations of 2-4 days while we care for your pets, home, and garden.

(Please note: 2-4 day sits are the maximum length pet sits we wish to do.)

Because we live in Auckland we are flexible in case of cancellation, change of dates etc.

Anita and Gene looked after our house, dog and guinea pigs for a weekend in May. They are fantastic sitters. Amazing communication throughout the whole process, punctual, very well organised and left our house immaculate and our dog very happy.

This is the second time Anita and Gene have looked after our house they were fantastic last time and fantastic again the love they give our animals is wonderful we would love to have them house it again if we are going away regards Alan and Susan

Both Anita and Gene were fantastic their communication was outstanding and the house was left beautifully clean and tidy. The cats and dog I’m sure had a great time with these to lovely people. If you need your house sat I would throughly recommend both Anita and Gene.

I am quite amazed by the care our house, Lamington and the plants got from Anita and Gene. They are such a wonderful people to communicate with and I really hope they get to house/cat sit for us again. They left the house spotless and even pruned my plants!! Lamington has got new toys to play with too!! Woow thank you guys again so much, my partner and I really appreciate it!!

We thoroughly recommend Anita & Gene as housesitters. They cared for our cats and house as we would and were happy to use an alternative entry door due to our front door lock playing up. Amazing Housesitters!! Thank you so much. We got back to a very happy dog and cats. Perfect house care, lovely and tidy and Anita even helped with some of my houseplants giving them a tidy up. Great communication also. I would definitely recommend Anita & Gene.

I met Anita and Gene at outer home prior to their house sit and I sensed that our little dog Alfie would be very happy and that they would be tidy and thoughtful sitters. We were only away for the weekend but Anita kept in touch, sent a photo of Alfie and on our return we had a happy boy and a lovely tidy house. I would highly recommend Anita &. Gene to anyone and hope they may like to sit again some time.

Anita and Gene were just perfect as our house sitters. They were so wonderful with our animals, cats, dogs, chickens and sheep. kept the garden watered and the house tidy. We will definitely be using them again and highly recommend them to others.

Anita and Gene house sat this weekend (29 October). I can't put into words how exceptional they were. Oci our Dachshund doesn't take to people easily and we were a bit worried as she can be a little princess. We needn't of worried though, as soon as Anita and Gene came into the house Oci just melted and took to them straight away. We were shocked at how much she loved them. Anita and Gene looked after our house while we were away for 5 days. I found them to be very professional and the communication was excellent. They met with us 2 weeks prior to our holiday, then again the day before to run through the pet feeding etc. They had great communication all the way through, including sending us photos of our cat while we were away, and checked if to ask if they had any questions.
