57, Cat Resort Owner
I am a qualified (Non-Practising) Nurse and Midwife, as well as a professional house sitter and animal carer.
Since 2016, I have been managing my own business-Whiskers and Paws Luxury Cat Resort in the Hawkes Bay.
I qualified with a NZ Certificate in Animal Care-Companion Animals Level 4 in 2022, and have a current Pet First Aid Certificate and experience in SPCA volunteering and fostering.
Currently living on an apple orchard with our house cats- Smokey and Bandit as well as our dog Chino who is a Cavalier/LowChen.
I am a mature, sensible, practical person, who lives a quiet life whenever possible. I don't drink, smoke or vape and I'm far too old for wild parties!
I am conscientious, tidy and probably a bit OCD when it comes to cleaning and keeping a tidy home.
Due to an old injury - I prefer to live in single level homes on flat sites, no stairs or steep driveways/sections for me!
I enjoy reading, learning, travelling, yoga/pilates, beach walks, gardening and good coffee. I have an extensive collection of houseplants.
I have experience with lots of cats/kittens, dogs (prefer smaller dogs), chickens, and can also accomodate birds, rabbits and other small pets.
I am happy to administer medications and special diets.
I think snakes. spiders and reptiles are outside of my comfort zone:)
I have experience with managing an Air BnB -Tiny Home and park over motorhome/caravan guests on our property.
At the moment, I'm looking for local sits that I can accomodate whilst managing the cat resort. Ideally outside of the main school holidays when we are very busy with the cats onsite.
In the future, I wish to travel overseas extensively and house sit in different countries.
There are plenty of reviews from happy cat resort clients on our website. Please contact me for details.
