I'm looking for a house-swap with someone who lives in Lyttelton, Kaikoura, Picton or Blenheim for 1-3 weeks over the summer holiday period.

For my part, I need someone to stay in my West Auckland cottage and give my cat love and attention while I'm away. And I offer to do the same for your animal family members and whare.

My house is very comfortable but minimalistic - no dishwasher or TV. Close to transport (train and bus) and a local, basic shopping centre, and also to the Waitakere Ranges (gorgeous bush walks) and West Coast beaches (Piha, Karekare, Anawhata etc). 25 minutes' drive (non-peak time!) to Auckland CBD and all it has to offer.

My cat Mangu is an active, easy-going, good natured and low-maintenance 5 year old boy - not that used to visitors but good company when he knows you.

I am totally soppy about animals, was brought up with a variety but mainly dogs and cats. Recently it's just been cats as I am normally at work all day. Would love to look after yours.

I'm a great cleaner but not so keen on doing more than the minimum of outdoor care. I'm open to an arrangement where we can use each others' cars if I don't decide to take mine with me. I have a hybrid upright bike that you're welcome to use.
