Hi there Urgent as the house sitter booked have withdrawn. We have a comfortable sunny house on a semi-rural property in walking distance to the cafes and shops of Greytown. There are three dogs and one cat who need to be looked after while we have a short holiday. This is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the country life. It's quiet here as we are set in two acres with beautiful views. The three dogs will be happy to have a new friend (or friends) and the cat will raise his eyebrows and then purr happily. The furries are very used to visitors and to having new people looking after them. This house sit is suitable for a single person or a couple only. Your accommodation is our spare bedroom with comfortable queen bed and your own bathroom. We do have a Homestay on the property but you would not have to do anything as it's self contained.
I loved looking after Bessie, Ben, Bertie +Boris. We had lots of playing, walks + cuddles. Janette left a detailed care plan which made for a very easy + relaxed weekend, and I would be happy to look after them again
Janette and Niels were fantastic hosts, full of travel advice and great stories. They are both so kind and genuine I would 100% stay with them again. The animals were very friendly and well behaved, great companions through and through.
Bertie. Ben, Bessie and Boris were delightful to be with. Janette and Neils were most welcoming and have a tranquil and lovely home semi-rural, a short drive or decent walk to the Greytown shops. I had a lovely long weekend and thoroughly recommend them to all future sitters.
We really enjoyed our House sit in Greytown. We were made to feel very welcome from the start, with a beautiful meal and great company.
The house is within easy walking distance to town, and we explored the local cycle ways.
The 3 dogs and 1 cat are such characters. Boris the cat is the team leader, Bessie is a gentle soul, Bert takes on his role of 'protecting you' and Ben loves your lap and words of encouragement on his walks.

Both the dogs and cat where well behaved and very easy to look after (Very Loving) house was warm and inviting. Neils and Janette are very friendly and accommodating nothing is to much for them.
Would look after these guys anytime.
Janette & Niels are tremendously kind, thoughtful hosts who went above & beyond to make me feel absolutely welcome. They invited me to stay even after they didn't actually need a house sitter. Janette is an excellent cook & warm host. Niels has a quick wit and is a talented musician. The dogs Bertie & Ben, and cat Boris are sweet, well-behaved, and lovely companions. Greytown is a fun historic and hip place to spend time, as well.

Janette and Niels welcomed me into their home like one of the family and even cooked dinner for me on my first night! They made the whole experience very easy and ensured I had everything I needed for my house sit. Bertie, Ben and Boris were a delight to be with - had some great games with Bertie and Bennie, and some interesting walks around the beautiful countryside. Janette and Neels were very hospitable. We arrived the night before they left as arranged and we spent a very enjoyable evening chatting. We thoroughly enjoyed looking after their 2 doggies and loved the long walks through the farmlands with 1 very enthusiastic dog and one not so enthusiastic dog. Their home was warm and comfy and we slept like logs every night with all the wonderful fresh air in our lungs.

I loved my stay at Janette's and was made to feel very welcome.
Well behaved, and great characters, of the animals were an absolute joy and I thoroughly loved their company! The house is close to lots of great walks and the shops/cafes of Greytown are within easy strike. The dogs, always up for an adventure (or two!), were a real pleasure.
I would heartily recommend this house sit and say 'Thank You' to Janette (and all my new furry friends!) for a great weekend.

We had a fantastic experience pet/house-sitting for Janette and Niels. They were so welcoming to us, even inviting us to Janette's birthday celebration the night before they left town. The house is very spacious and comfortable, the kitchen excellent for cooking, and there is a great deck with a sea view to boot. And it is walkable to the beach. Janette and Niels have a really nice home and two cute dogs, Barney is a big lump who you can't help falling for, Bertie a little adventurer who's lots of fun and Boris the cat is nice and affectionate. I highly recommend house sitting for them.
House sitting is a fun, immersive way to experience this magnificent country - without paying a cent for accommodation!
