Hi everyone!

We are on the look out for a kind soul to look after our fur baby Gremlin. He is a 7 year old Minilop-Rex, house trained rabbit..

He is a very lovable, charismatic bunny, who loves to be a mischievous wee thing who loves cuddles, playtime and eating apples!! He loves having company and being fussed over!

We live in a newly warm and welcoming modern home, with lots of outdoor space, to sit and enjoy and a pool. Which is situated 200m from Maraetai beach and the Coastal walkway. Perfect time to come and enjoy the beach!

Our home is conveniently located close to public transport with the bus stop being 500m away and within 10min drive to the ferry terminal, which has frequent services to central Auckland.

We are within walking distance to local cafes and general store or take a quick 5minutes drive to the supermarket and shopping precinct at Beachlands.

Our priority is that Grem is looked after and given the attention he needs. He likes to have lots of attention and play time! He loves exploring in the garden but does need some supervision.

We will provide you with a care Manual for the house and Grem.

This was a great house sit for Wendy and I. Kayleigh and Dan are so nice, very friendly and organized, they set us up perfectly to look after everything in their absence. There was a detailed manual that outlined everything if there were any questions. Their pet rabbit Grem was a real character, cuddly and slightly sporty, We loved the home and the gardens were beautiful. Kayleigh and Dan are a lovely and friendly couple. They gave us clear instructions. It was our first time looking after an indoor rabbit and it well very well. Gremlin is adorable! He is easy going. All in all, it has been an awesome experience! Great people, great rabbit, great place!

Really enjoyed our time at Kayleigh and Dan's house sitting and looking after Grem the rabbit. Lovely home, very peaceful, awesome outdoor area and easy walking distance to the beaches & cafes. Grem is a hoot and so easy to look after

Dan and Kayleigh are super lovely people and made us feel very welcome in their home. We loved their home, it was warm and cosy and close to public transport etc. Gardens and lawns were easy and it is a really quiet neighborhood. Grem the rabbit was a dream to look after. He's super chilled and easy to care for. He's a real character! Communication was easy and the time flew by during this house sit. We could have easily stayed another 6 weeks! We can highly recommend Dan, Kayleigh and Grem.

completely wrong expectations! kayleigh was unreliabe with her communication concerning a confirmation for the house sit, so we found another one. in case she fixed it pretty late and we were too kind to let her in trouble, we did the best we could parallel (cleaned, feet & played). from the day they left people avoided communication with us & were not interested. very confusing communication using two different cell phone numbers. messenges weren't received. we didnt felt welcome at all. house ... Now that you have admitted you actually did not stay as we had agreed at our house during the agreed house sit we now understand why you did not answer our calls or txt messages and why our neighbours did not see you. House sitting is NOT an Air BnB. Thankfully our wonderful neighbours and friends had a key and checked in on Gremlin in between there own holidays. Our expectations of house sitters our as follows, 1- we expect that you will actually arrive on the agreed day 2- the house sitter will be staying in the house and look after any pets 3- they will keep in contact 4- they will tell the truth. I think your expectations are the issue, house sitting is not a hotel, if you had wanted a hotel or apartment you should not have been searching for house sits. I can only presume that you chose to house sit because you did not want to pay for accomodation. In relation to your comment regarding communication to confirm the sit. I have outlined the communication trail to ensure anyone reading your review has honest information. Initial contact made by L/S 13th Aug Reply made 13th Aug and additional reply 4th Sept with revised dates 1day change. 5th Sept L/S confirmed availability for these dates. Response made to this same day. 9th Sept- further details of our Gremlin and house sent to L/S. 10th Sept. L/S reply. 11th Sept. notification sent to house sitters that we will be away overseas on holiday until October and photos would be sent on our return. 7th Oct- message to house sitters with photos. House sitters state this is the first time they have done house sitting. 9th Oct- Response to house sitters. 12th Oct- More information regarding Auckland and our area sent to L/S. Local beaches, public transport options, proximity to shopping and activities. 14th Oct- House sitters reconfirm dates. 23rd Oct- Reply made. Req to meet prior to house sit. 4th Nov- L/S respond. Reply made 4th Nov. 28th Nov- L/S message requesting change of start date from 22nd-23rd Dec due to needing to go to Wellington. 1st Dec- Reply made. Accepting date change. 7rd Dec- Response from L/S. Requesting to stay at our house on the 16th December. 9-10th Dec. Reply to L/S- unable to facilitate as we had our current house sitter staying. Link sent with information of Air Bnb approximately 300M from our house. 15th Dec- Reply from L/S re difficulty making the booking. Reply made 15th Dec to assist. 23rd Dec- Txt message sent to L/S to welcome to the house. Reply received approx 1600- to say this missed there ferry and cannot make the house sit until late on the 24th. Multiple txts and phone calls made to L/S difficult to get in contact with, minimal responses. Work phone used as no response received to my personal number. 24th. Expected arrival noon. Phone call and TXTs made between 1000-1100 to find out where in NZ they where as we needed to made new plans if they where not going to arrive in Auckland soon. Multiple calls made due to no response. 24th- 1400. Phone call. L/S finally answer to say we are in Auckland Gremlin is OK, they are shopping. We thanked them and wished them a Merry Christmas. Advised to feel free to contact us. 27th- L/S TXT requesting password to internet (this information was included in the printed out house sitting instruction manual left on dining room table.) 27th- Reply with password and wishing them well. NO RESPONSE. In regards to your comment regarding the house being dirty. I had cleaned the house myself the day before we left. We invited these people into our home and trusted them to care for our beloved rabbit Gremlin. Our trust has been truely broken. Our mistake was accepting a couple who are traveling to house sit. We will not be making this mistake again.

Everyone should get a house rabbit like Gremlin, he is adorable no fuss and just likes a bit of attention and enjoys kale! A lovely home to look after with friendly neighbours and the cutest rabbit ever and easy communication with Kayleigh, highly recommended
