Waikanae Beach

A very enjoyable sit for Matt. His communication was superb in the lead up and he provided comprehensive notes to support our conversation. Phoebe is a delightful dog to look after - so easy and by far the best trained walker I’ve had so far. Sheldon the turtle was entertaining and Charley and the Guinea pigs were living their best lives and were straightforward to care for. Matt has a lovely home which was sparkling clean and very welcoming. There was rain during the sit so I did not need to water anything, but all the gear was there ready for me if needed. I particularly enjoyed the river walks every day - a peaceful and pretty place to exercise.

We really enjoyed staying at Matt’s place. It was in a great location, very close to the beach. His house was very well organised with all the home comforts. His communication was great. We really got attached to his animals, especially his dog Phoebe. Thanks Matt for making our stay a very pleasant one.

What can we say! We had a such a great time at Matt's perfect house sit. 2 min drive to the beach, Phoebe the staffy is impeccably behaved. Charlie the cat is very handsome and knows it. Strokes on his terms and when it's dinner time. Sheldon is a character and the 2 guinea pigs only need food and water. The house is a mix of show home, but cosy and welcoming. No favourites here... but we really miss Phoebe. Don't tell Charlie! Thank you Matt xx

This was a wonderful house sit. Wonderful house, garden, pets and location. Matt was very informative about everything and I only wish I had been able to stay longer. I would love to help Matt out again when I return to the area one day! Matt took great time to explain where I should go on the next leg of my travels and I really do appreciate this. Weston and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Matt’s place. We loved looking after the animals, which were all extremely well behaved. Matt gave us clear instructions which were simple to follow. Matt’s house was lovely and we felt very welcome and at home.

We had a fantastic time looking after Matt’s pets, they are all adorable. Location is great for lots of nice walks with Phoebe and the house is lovely too - five stars! Would love to sit for Matt again :)

Amazing first house sit experience! Matt's house was extremely tidy and communication was excellent. Charley was such a lovely cat and was always up for sitting on your lap. I loved taking Phoebe out for walks and snuggling up with her in the mornings, she's such a loving and affectionate dog. Sheldon the turtle was super cool and cruisy and I enjoyed hanging out with him. I had a fantastic time house-sitting for Matt and would happily recommend him to other sitters. Matt left the house beautiful, tidy and welcoming. As we're the Cat Charley who appeared the second my kids disappeared rubbing up on my legs for his food. The turtle Sheldon would take food from my fingers much to the excitement of my 3 year old. Thanks for allowing us to stay at your home with the lovely garden. The kids enjoyed the sprinkler just as much as the garden did

Matt and Danielle's home was exceptionally clean and well equipped. Communication was excellent with detailed instructions provided via email before the stay itself and contact during the stay. Home was lovely and quiet to relax in with a beautiful garden. Their two cats were lovely company and I enjoyed seeing them become more and more relaxed in my company during the stay. Would highly recommend this house sit to other sitters. It was a pleasure to look after your home and pets.

Amazing house sit experience. Was met and shown around by the neighbour. Beautiful house, feel so nice being there. Cats were easy to look after. Charley was great too cuddle up to in bed in morning. Lilly was super cute too, loved lots of pats. Good location, close to river for a nice walk to the beach.

Matt and Danielle are amazing house owners. They are very easy going and super friendly. Communication with them was superb! And it was a pleasure to stay in their beautiful home in the lovely quiet Waikanae Beach. Their cats are very independent so there was really not much work with them, and because they are shy, they didn't even bother to be around us much. Thanks for having us as your sitters! Matt and Danielle were fantastic home owners to work with and helped out in unexpected ways after my sit had finished. Their home was lovely to live in and both cats were adorable in quite different ways! Highly recommended!
