Hello :)

Welcome to our rural home in the outskirts of Temuka. This home is currently being renovated over time so not 100%. The kitchen is new to date. the older bathroom and rest of house still to be done. Its situated on 3/4 acre. We would need the vege garden watered and the small tunnel house watered and air let in if its hot.

We have 2 cats , one older wee dogs and one young small dog. ***please note
* Our cats must be kept inside at night so we would need someone pretty vigilant to do this .

if the dogs remain at the property whilst we are away; you would need to have animal nursing skills for our old dog. We had an unfortunate incident with our other old dog and she had to be put down when we came home so animal nursing skills is paramount.

We would love to find someone that could become a permanent House Sitter for us- our lovely house sitter that was in NZ for several years was amazing and we would love to find that person again (If possible)

We had such a lovely time at Maria and Paul's home. Max is an absolute sweetheart, he is the biggest cat with the littlest squeaky voice - you just can't help but love him! He's always up for a chat and pat. Fudge, the other cat, is very timid but seems so lovely and gentle. With time I don't doubt we would have been great mates. Their garden is beautiful and we very much enjoyed sitting on their front porch drinking tea and reading books. Their home is comfortable and easy to feel at home in. ... MORE

This was the second house sit I have done for Paul and Maria.. They had only recently moved into this house so were still working out its quirks etc. But inspite of that all the basic things were out and functioning. The cats were locked in their bedroom to get used to the place, but it was easy to feed them and muck out their litter trays. My husband and I got to enjoy the region around Geraldine while petsitting 2 small and lovable dogs and 2 very chilled cats in South Canterbury. The dogs schedule was a bit early for us, but they rolled with our late mornings, daily departures, and late nights easily :) The partially renovated house with new kitchen, hotel-level bathroom, and warm gas fire made for a brilliant autumn getaway.
