We need a house sitter

Wellington - Porirua

Cherie

A sitter is required for our cozy 3 bedroom house situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in Papakowhai, Porirua. There's a lovely large deck out the back with an outlook over a bush clad valley, so there's plenty of native birds hanging around. It's a quick 5min drive to Porirua City, the bus stop is close by, and Paremata train station is a short 12-15min walk.

We have 2 young cats and 3 chickens that would require looking after.

One of the cats is very affectionate and loves play-time and cuddles. The other is a bit shy, but may warm to the right person. They are curfewed at night via an electronic cat door so there is a litter tray that may require a change.

The chickens will only require you to let them out of their run in the morning, and lock them back in in the evening. They free-range down the bank and always return by themselves before dusk. They are currently laying so you would be free to enjoy their fresh eggs!

We had a wonderful time at Cherie and Stu's house, they have a nice deck to enjoy the afternoon and a house with everything you need. Plus, there are three chooks, so you can taste free-range eggs every morning. Bobby and Coco are great company; Bobby is super friendly and sweet, and he will make you feel welcome immediately; coco is a little bit shy, but she will warm up with the help of the temptation. The communication with Cherie was super easy; she left us clear Instructions. If you want ... MORE
