We are in need of someone to look after our elderly dog Stella and our 2 young cats Jasper and Juno, while we are away at the last minute over Labour weekend Friday night 25th October to Monday 28th October. Stella needs walking twice a day but she is 14 yrs old now and so the walks don't have to be too vigorous and are easy to manage from our house. However she is also happy to jump ( lifted tbh) into the back of a car and be taken to the beach or bush for a walk. We do prefer that she has company for a reasonable part of the day although it is fine to leave the house for several hours.
The cats have just turned 2 and are pretty low maintenance. They just need feeding twice daily and have each other for company.
Stella requires a daily tablet that gets put in her food that is to help incontinence. This is occasionally an issue but is well controlled currently.
Our house is spacious and sunny, with central heating, has an outdoor fireplace and we have a large garden. It is also very quiet and has a very private outlook over the western hills.

No rating You have got to go there! Anna, Hamish and their lovely daughters were very welcoming, they made us feel right at home from the very beginning. They even made us a Christmas tree! They have two lovely pets. Stella, the dog, is such a cute and hug friendly big dog. And Didi, the cat, is much more wild but she doesn't mind a scratch to the back if you let her come to you. Plus their house is gorgeous, with everything you can think of. A great sit by any standard.

So lovely to cuddle their sweet cats in a window seat while watching the birds in their lovely back yard! And Stella was adorable, quite a character. A wonderful stay.

Amazing long weekend house sitting for Anna and Hamish! Stella the dog was a sweet and chilled out girl to look after and the cats Juno and Jasper were great company. Anna's place was comfortable and warm, and has an amazing outlook and garden. We loved sitting outside watching the birds (and Juno and Jasper tearing around). Anna was easy going and gave us all the information we needed in person and in a booklet which made us comfortable looking after their home and pets. Thanks again!

Loved looking after Stella who is very laid back, and the kittens who are a perfect amount of playful and very cute. It was also lovely to have a fire to put on in the evenings to keep us warm in winter! Anna was great at communicating and very friendly, so would highly recommend for anyone to pet sit for Anna and co.

Meeting people like Anna and Hamish is why I love housesitting so much. Anna's communication was excellent. There was a handy little book to reference in their absense (for all instructions given). Anna and Hamish were extremely welcoming and easy-going. Their dog, Stella, is a gentle dog who was no trouble at all and the house is in a beautiful area with awesome views. We'd recommend anyone lucky enough to be offered to housesit here to accept!
