We need a house sitter

Auckland - North Shore City

Kayla

We are going overseas in December and are needing a housesitter for our dog Fern, a 5 year old female Labrador X, at our place in Forrest Hill on the north shore (just a few minutes drive to Milford and Takapuna beaches).

Fern needs 1 walk a day, loves sunbathing on the patio or a game of tug-of-war with her rope toy, and otherwise spends most of her time sleeping :)

The only plant care thats required is watering my indoor plants once a week. We have someone who will come and mow the lawns.

We have 1 off street parking space.

We are in a great location, several parks and walks near the house or just a 5 min drive or 30 min walk to Milford beach and around 8 mins drive to Takapuna. We’re also just a 12 min drive into the city.

We can be flexible on these dates either side by a few days so please feel free to still reach out if the dates don’t fit perfectly.

To say I enjoyed my 7 weeks on Waiheke Island, with labX Fern, would be an understatement! Such a wonderful community and so many options for walking dogs. Fern is an absolute delight - intelligent, affectionate and well behaved, great off lead at the park/beach, good with other dogs, though she will steal other dog's balls/toys so you've got to be prepared with a stick for distraction. I hope I get a chance to sit for Kayla and Sean again, in the future, as they are an excellent couple, ... MORE

Communication was top notch from day one which made the process very easy. Kayla has a lovely home with everything you need and Fern is such a cool dog and a breeze to look after as she is very well trained. Would happily house sit again.

I had a great time taking care of Fern, she’s an amazing company and is very well trained, took her out for a walk to the beach, she loves being free and run around :) the communication with Kayla was excellent. Will be more than happy to take care of her again.

These guys did a great job communicating from day one. The house is very warm and easy. It has all the essentials to enjoy your stay. Probably the highlight of the job was getting to know, walk and play with Fern. Outstanding swimmer, very gentle despite her size and well trained dog. I recommend Kayla and Sean and Fern
