We need a house sitter

Wellington - Kapiti Coast

Lovely bright bungalow, easy to keep clean. 1 double bedroom with own bathroom available. 1 standard poodle (2 years old ) and 2 friendly cats. Plants to water every other week. Low garden maintenance. 2 mins walk to Waikanae Beach and 10 mins walk to great cafes and dairy. The dog can't be left longer than 3-4 hours per day and so would prefer someone working from home. Would also suit retired person/couple.

I arrived in the late afternoon to meet them all and settle in and share a meal with Tracey and Lester as they were leaving home at 2am to catch their flight. They were very welcoming and hospitable, and it was a good opportunity to meet Myrtle their poodle and their 2 cats. Myrtle is quite vocal and likes to stay close but equally will happily go to her bed in the garage for a sleep. She keeps busy with her toys, keeping the cats in line and letting you know if anyone was walking or driving by ... MORE
