Karen and Murray were great to deal with, they left a comprehensive list of instructions and kept in contact while they were away. The property was lovely with great views of Mt Taranaki, the ocean and Paritutu rock. Nuzzles the cat took a while to come around but wasn't too long until she was sleeping on our laps. The pigs were easy, as long as the food kept coming they were no bother, and the daily eggs from the chooks were greatly appreciated. We had a lovely 3 months and thanks Karen ... We really enjoyed our stay at Karen & Murray's lodge. Great views & loved the fire and there was good communication & instructions left for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and caring for Louise the pig and bonding with Nuzzles the kitten. Happy to housesit again anytime. Leigh & Dave

I had an awesome time with little Nuzzles and the other animals. Karen and Murray are lovely people and the communication with them was always easy. Their house is super comfy with awesome views and in a great location to explore the area. Little Nuzzles made for very entertaining company and it was fun to look after Lulu (the pig) and the two chickens. I've enjoyed my stay a lot and would always love to come back! :-)
