We need a house sitter

Wellington - Kapiti Coast

Wendy & Shane

We have a large labradoodle, 3 years old. We also have a very friendly cat. We both work from home so our pets are used to having someone here most of the day, so ideally someone who is retired or works from home would suit us. Our dog loves a brush and is very friendly and quiet. She sleeps in her crate at night. House is large with swimming pool & views of Paraparaumu and out to sea. It is not beachfront. Sitters would need to be non-smokers please.

We are also away from April 28th until May 24th 2025 so would be great if same couple could do this sit as well?? As this is a longer period lawn mowing would be required.

We had a wonderful time housesitting Charlie the Labradoodle and Riley the cat for Wendy and Shane. Communication with Wendy was great from the outset including a visit to the house to meet them the weekend prior to the housesit and Wendy also provided a very informative pack with details of Charlie, Riley and their beautiful home. This sit for Wendy & Shane was a delight caring for Charlie and Riley. Wendy & Shane welcomed me into their home to preview the sit and the night before the sit for conversation and dinner, which I very much appreciated. Communication before, during and after the sit was clear and engaging. This was a lovely sit in a very lovely home.

We had a wonderful house sit for owners Wendy & Shane, Charlie the Labradoodle and Riley the cat here in Paraparaumu. From the outset the commnuication was prompt & professional making for a seamless sit. We met Wendy & Shane prior to our weekend away which was fantastic especially meeting their adorable pets, making for a smooth transition. We had a lovely time looking after Charley (energetic and affectionate) and Rilley (cute and companionable). The house is very warm and comfortable, with awesome views and plenty of sun. Excellent communication with Wendy before and during our stay.

You couldn’t meet a more lovely dog and cat combo - friendly, fun and well-trained. We loved their company. Wendy and Shane were amazing to sit for. They went to huge trouble to give us all the information we needed and show us how best to look after Charlize and Riley. When we had questions while they were away they replied straight away. Their beautiful home is warm, sunny, spacious and comfortable with all mod cons and great taste. A wonderful experience all round!
