We are on the lookout for house sitters who are ok to look after our two golden retrievers, three cats, two rabbits, and one guinea pig while enjoying the lovely environment of Landsborough, Darfield, Canterbury (30 minutes west of Christchurch).
Our house is situated on a 5000m2 fully fenced property, so the dogs have lots of space to exercise themselves.
Apart from feeding the dogs and cats once a day, house sitters can treat our home as their base for day trips around Selwyn, Arthur's Pass, and Oxford regions.
It was a pleasure to house sit for Jason and Claret. They were so welcoming, easy going and the kids were so nice too and I was showing them photos of my funky looking chickens back in Aussie before they left.
The dogs and kitties were all great, and the home was comfortable and easy to care for.
I'd house sit again for these guys in heartbeat.
We had a great time looking after Bealey and Lulu, they were lovely dogs, well trained and obedient.
We luckily had the chance to spend some days with their puppys wich was amazing.
Jason and family leave the house in perfect conditions for us, it has everything you can need and its located in a really chill neighbourhood. The property has a huge backyards were the dogs runs and plays, so no need to go out to any park.

I had a lovely time looking after Bailey and Lulu the golden retrievers. Jason got back to me promptly and was very helpful with any questions I had via text during my sit. The house is in a lovely spot in Darfield with a large back section for the dogs to run in and a forest very close by to walk the dogs. Bailey and Lulu are very friendly, sweet and playful dogs and I am already missing them! Thanks again for allowing me to housesit :)
Absolutely loved our time here. The dogs are lovely, enjoyed playing ball with them. The house is nice and warm. Jason and family are so easy to get along with.
Jason & Claret & Family made us very welcome to their home. They live in a very lovely area of Darfield with terrific views at the front of the property of the surrounding mountains. The dogs Lulu and Bailey were great fun and energetic. The two cats Simba & Hershey were very friendly. They also had a guinea pig who is very cute and 3 sheep.
Darfield is a nice place to visit, it has a good supermarket and a couple of bakeries. There is a lovely walk in the McHughs Forest.
